Beach Day Passes in St. Maarten

Just a comment that all beaches on St Maarten are public and you do not have to pay anything to use any beach. If you want to rent a chair or lounger that is another story.

There is a restaurant, Mr. Busby's, on Dawn Beach, just down from the Westin. Good food, rest rooms, chair and umbrella rental, and no resort fee as would be charged by the Westin. Probably a $15 cab ride from the cruise pier. There is also a restaurant on the Oyster Bay resort at the end of Dawn Beach which is open to the public - customers there have access to the very clean rest rooms.

salad22: Thank you for asking!!! I've had a few land vacations screwed up when cruisers take over a beach in front of a hotel and hoard the chairs without paying. Yes, beaches are public, but take something to sit on for the beach unless you are willing to pay for a chair/lounger.
