Clarea Posted June 14, 2013 #1 Share Posted June 14, 2013 Rather than the normal Tuesday sale, with C&A members able to book Monday, Royal is having an all week sale, Sunday to Sunday. Ten pages of sale prices. No mention of a C&A preview day. http://www.creative.rccl.com/sales/royal/Multi_Dest/Special_Offers/rci_sales_event.pdf
luvscruising2007 Posted June 14, 2013 #2 Share Posted June 14, 2013 This strange for that long of a "sale". They extended the WOW sale also. Is RC having trouble getting bookings?
Bbandeegrl Posted June 14, 2013 #3 Share Posted June 14, 2013 I've only been following the WOW sales for a few years, but my first thought was definitely low bookings. At least low WOW bookings compared to normal. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app

I can't remember a week long sale like they are having next week.
cruise pup Posted June 14, 2013 #5 Share Posted June 14, 2013 These "Happy Hour" prices don't make me happy. I did much better last summer.
TonRin Posted June 14, 2013 #6 Share Posted June 14, 2013 Booked and paid deposit on my cruises yesterday so we miss out on anything.... Bummer! :(
Merion_Mom Posted June 14, 2013 #7 Share Posted June 14, 2013 Like WOW sales, these are not meant to attract experienced cruisers. They hope to lure in new cruisers, and convince them that Royal Caribbean should be their line of choice. I think that they see a good opportunity to grab new customers while Carnival has to deal with some pretty bad publicity lately. :)

pspercy Posted June 14, 2013 #9 Share Posted June 14, 2013 Don't remember seeing that row "Combinable with air" before, wonder what it means.
Clarea Posted June 14, 2013 Author #10 Share Posted June 14, 2013 Don't remember seeing that row "Combinable with air" before, wonder what it means. Back when Royal sold traditional cruise air, that row meant the sale price could be used in combination with purchasing your flights from Royal. You have an eagle eye because that row has not appeared on the sales flyer since late 2010. I suspect someone used an old template and that row should not be there. I see emails by one TA offering "VIP" packages on RCI including air & hotel.
