I'm pretty sure it stands for "Italian Classic".

Hi....

Don't think that's it...as below is an "Ic" cruise too..

13

Nights

Ic Cruise

Celebrity Infinity

Cruise Ports

Departing from Miami, Florida; New York, New York; Halifax, Nova Scotia; Cork (Cobh), Ireland; Harwich, England

This was a question that was posed to the Web VP when she was on here...but I don't think it was ever clarified...whatever it stands for...it's not very clear or descriptive !!

Enjoy

Does anyone know what the "Ic" means on the April 20, 2014 Silhouette Transatlantic cruise going to Rome?

Hi,

I'm booked on this cruise, and my reservation on the Celebrity website is entitled "15 N Italian Classic Transatlantic Cruise Onboard Celebrity Silhouette". So, pretty sure Ic= Italian Classic...

it's just one of the things that's not quite right on the web site...the IC cruises were pointed out to Tina Alexander and talked about here months ago....nothing changed.

Why should they change?

If for no other reason than the title of cruise is supposed to mean something or be descriptive without guessing....it's called marketing. There were a number of cruises labeled IC, some of which didn't go to Italy at all, if I recall.

As was already pointed out the Infinity on april 29th is ALSO called ic cruise.

And.... there is no Italy on it's agenda.

So what does ic stand for on that cruise?

I thought IC meant ICY since it went to Nova Scotia lol !

I thought it was a code known only to Celebrity. Schedule #1, schedule #2, and so on, each modified as version a or b or c and so on. It got sent out as 1c because they couldn't think of a snazzy phrase, or the phrase wasn't ready in time or got dropped somehow and they had to go ahead and release a schedule. I've noticed some Alaska cruises have a similarly cryptic combination of numbers and letters.

I don't think 1c has any special symbolism or meaning otherwise.
