Faster to the Fun...worth it? YES!!!

bought it last night. Some may think its a waste of money. I despise waiting in line, so its worth it for me. Also gives me more pool time in my eyes. I'll being eating early, and heading to the pool with my DOD in hand!

FTTF probably isn't on your boarding pass because as a guest in a suite you get priority boarding.

 

Not true - I was in a grand suite in june and purchased FTTF and it did appear on my boarding pass and luggage tags. Even with VIP boarding, we still found it to be a great deal with luggage being delivered 5 min or so after getting to cabin (and we boarded very early) as wrll as priority line at guest services.

I thought it was worth just to avoid that awful line at customer service! Not for everyone I'm sure, but I like having it this last trip.

Well I booked it.....so I'll let y'all know if we thought it was worth it.....we aren't sailing till Oct. 6th but I'll share my thoughts when we get back. Really appreciate the feed back :) thanks

We bought it for our Triumph cruise. Loved, loved, loved the early cabin access. We also loved the "Faster Away From the Fun" feature as well. Regretfully, there was a death on this cruise and the ship was late into port. We elected to carry off our luggage and were the second group off the ship - right after the Carnival Platinums and Diamonds. Since we had a drive back to Dallas with a very tired six year old, we really appreciated the jump start. I am not sure she was up for any more waiting around.

If you book relatively last minute you won't find any available. But if you book a year or so in advance you have a pretty good chance of getting one. But I think you can't book excursions unless you have made final payment. At least that has been my experience.

 

We just bought FTTF today for our Valor cruise on 9/1. I'm surprised it was available! Maybe they opened up more. :)

If you want to get on close to first, go straight to you room with carry-ons and not have to lug that case of water and bottle of wine around. Priority line at the purser's desk and priority disembarking. For $50 per cabin(not pp).

I get it because of being Plat but if I was not I would buy it in a flash.

You will be fine. Those boarding when you debarking my be delayed. More thorough customs check after Belize. Debark took a little longer.

If you book relatively last minute you won't find any available. But if you book a year or so in advance you have a pretty good chance of getting one. But I think you can't book excursions unless you have made final payment. At least that has been my experience.

 

You can definitely book excursions before final payment. I purchased FTTF back in May and a Freeport excursion in June. Our final payment, which we haven't made, is due in October.

 

I'm really looking foward to using FTTF in December. I don't really care about having a special line at GS and we don't have a tender port, but it'll be nice to be able to board sooner, have rooms ready early to drop off carry-ons/sodas and be able to disembark sooner (even though we won't want to) to beat the huge line through customs.

Just booked FTTF for my September Victory sailing and am looking forward to all the perks. Booked my first balcony cabin as well and I thought it would be cool to be able to get into the room early and have a chance to enjoy it :p

To make our luggage tags a bit sturdier I cover it with peel and stick laminate at home and use a paper punch to put a hole at the ends then use a small zip tie to attach it to our luggage handle prior to handing our luggage over.

 

We just purchased the FTTF and printed our boarding passes. The boarding pass has a FTTF logo on it and the luggage tags are also marked. I don't mind not getting my luggage til later in the day but to be able to get on the ship earlier and take advantage of the first cruise day is important to me. Priority boarding with Carnival requires more cruises then Princess, which we already have.

Maybe not many people are booking this on my upcoming cruise. I sail in like 31 days and was able to purchase FTTF. I'm really liking the idea of not only getting into our room early but also the ability to be able to get to the Guest Services desk earlier since I have also rented a cabana for our HMC stop :D

Just had F2F on my Imagination cruise last week. It was fantastic. We got to port around 10:30 and breezed right through the process and were sitting with a priority card in our hand before 11:00. They began boarding soon after and we were in our cabins around 11:30. Easy peasy!! Then, we dropped off all our carry on stuff and ran up to Lido for lunch and then toured an empty ship. We were back in our cabins around 12:30 or so and our luggage was waiting for us.

 

While on the ship, I had a question and called the priority customer service # and got my answer quickly. Then I used the priority line at the guest services desk twice (once there wasn't much of a line and the 2nd time was during disembarkation and the regular line was a mile long). We also were escorted off the ship right at 8am (quick, no lines and straight off).

 

So, we loved it and will get it next time too. And if we ever have a tender port, that will be another plus in having F2F (as they get priority tender).

Nope, and again Nope. If you don't spend the $50 then you go to the Lido with your carry-ons and sit with the crowd waiting for 1:30 to come.. Sorry this is not Princess and no one is one.

 

 

That's pretty much why we decided to do it..so we can go straight to our room instead of having to hang around the Lido waiting for our cabin to be ready. Also, my husband is hoping that with FTTF, they won't lose his suitcase this time.:o

How does the priority tender work? We have a stop in Grand Cayman. I have a 9am excursion scheduled. Once the ship docks at 8am, I can be one of the first ones off?

I just can't pull the trigger, 50 bucks is a lot of money. I don't mind sitting with my wife, daughters and mine luggage upon boarding. I sit, pop open my carry on wine and watch football in the Sports Lounge (both games) on departure day, so I don't get to my room till about 6 PM anyway.

 

And, on 3 cruises, the lines and wait to get off at Port were never that bad? Even the wait to board the ship? I totally hate lines, and won't wait at a restaurant if the line is more than 10 minutes for a table. But 50 bucks for a few perks...is not going to happen.

Sooooo glad I went ahead and bought this for our Dream sailing in October! Now....if I could just make time go faster!!

I've purchased FTTF for my cruise on the Dream and the benefit for me aside from priority boarding is my cabin will be ready and I'll be able to go drop off my carry on luggage and drinks and not have to lug them up to the Lido deck while getting lunch, also not a lot of people will be there yet either plus I'll get my other luggage quickly. I like to get unpacked and settled in and ready to start my cruise! I also like the separate line at GS if I need to go to the desk for anything and I can also book any excursions I may not have yet...totally worth it to me!
