QM2 Tenth Anniversary

We will be sailing on the QM2 on May 9 on the 10 Anniversary. Wondering if there will be any special event or activity to mark the commemorative crossing.

There certainly will be although the link to the event isn't yet active on Cunard's site. For her 200th crossing in July we made a special sail away from NY, Stephen Payne was on board and presented four lectures, and the last formal night had a special celebratory dinner menu.

I know all three queens will be in Southampton on the 9th May 2014. I will be on QV so hope there is a big send off. Have a great crossing.

The return crossing departing New York on 16th May is also a commemorative crossing according to the latest brochure. That one is selling very well, with Princess Grill, Britannia Club and "outside" accommodations already sold out to Southampton, although some staterooms are available for destinations beyond. The popularity of that crossing may be on account of its continuance to Hamburg and then a cruise to Norway.

We were on board for the 5'th anniversary. There was definately a more special feeling of pomp & circumstance at that time.

We were on board QM2 for the Maiden Voyage in January 2004. Are they having anything on the actual Anniversary? Hard to believe how fast the 10 years went by.:eek: And QM2 looks better than ever. We were on QE2 for the 30th Anniversary Transatlantic and there were quite a few special events, souvenirs, etc. Loved it.
