Enjoying your pictorial review a lot Sir Schultz! ;)
I was amazed by your Conquest reviews. And to be honest, I still go back a lot to those reviews and read them all over again, since we are sailing the Conquest in Dec.

I went back and checked and not many that I've posted were shot with the Canon - almost all with Nikon. Will try to remember to point out in the future, but if it is obviously raining, then probably the Canon. Another way to check - if the image name begins with IMG it is the Canon and if DSC then the Nikon.

Thank you. Love the Conquest but won't get to sail on her again before she leaves New Orleans. And then there will be Sunshine. and not long after that Dream. :)

I didn't know how to check on the image. I actually just learned something.
Since you were using your Nikon, were you using any filters, besides a UV? Were you shooting auto?

Image name works in this case, but exif data, if present, will be more accurate.

Just UV.

Like to mostly keep on Auto but had to try some different settings with the lack of light and contrast. In a bouncy fast moving bus, I'd often switch to Shutter priority and set it as fast as I could get away with. Otherwise everything was too blurry. Don't think I tried that this early in the cruise.

Most night shots I'll switch to manual.
