latitude918 Posted October 22, 2013 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Trying to buy plane tickets is giving me a headache. I have FTTF, and with an 1141am return flight, I need to ask, would I be off the ship in time to get to the airport by 10am? Those that have used FTTF before, how long does it take to get off of the ship? Is it smooth? Do you use the self-assist or do you debark by zones? Any info provided would be greatly appreciated. Flying in/out of Miami; Home port is Miami.
CruiserBruce Posted October 22, 2013 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Generally, 11:30 would be the soonest I would book a flight there. This is discussed almost daily on the Florida Departures board, here: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

cb at sea Posted October 22, 2013 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2013 Yes....barring anything unforeseen, you should be at the airport by 9am....you will need to tell them (about midway thru the cruise...they'll tell you when) that you have an early flight. Do so. That will get you in one of the 1st groups off the ship. The airport is a 20 min. cab ride away.

bowbiter Posted October 23, 2013 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2013 What cruise line? If you can walk off anytime it is possible. But any delays.... That being said I was at the Miami airport by 930am one year. Walk off with NCL though Sent from my SPH-L710 using Forums mobile app

Krazy Kruizers Posted October 23, 2013 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2013 Glad you decided to take a later flight. That way you will not be stressed getting off the ship and to the airport should the ship arrive back in port late or the ship isn't cleared right away by the local authorities.
