Soft shell crab appitizer is excellent

Assistant waiter Oom in Blu is excellent

Vicent bartender in the Ensemble lounge is Excellent

Weather with the exception of one day was excellent

Captain did a visit to each table in Blu one evening...very nice touch

Sea Bass in Blu was excellent (order two as they are very small portions)

Hmmmmm. Just looked at the reviews. We were on the New Year Cruise. Ship was packed, we were in Aqua Class and loved it. We NEVER had an issue getting into Blu, and the food was, in our opinion, excellent. We ate there every night except one, when we went to Tuscan Grill. We were seated immediately and there were plenty of empty tables while we were there. We had excellent service. Breakfast was the same as dinner, plenty of room, great service, and excellent food. Not sure why the reviewers had such a bad experience.

Wow! That's good to hear... We are sailing on Reflection in 2 weeks in Aqua Class :-)

I hope you have as great a time as we did. Enjoy. Ask for Jose C in Blu. He and his asst Andrea are excellent.

On our cruise people were sitting outside Blu waiting for one of Jose's tables to open up. He must be really good!

Jose is the best. We had the great fortune of having him as our waiter for a month.. We were truly blessed last year.

Blu was designed for 258 guests and then a ship is launched allowing 360 to dine without a corresponding expansion of the room or staff, no wonder some have had questionable experiences. This is especially noticeable during peak times when the kitchen and waiters are over-worked.

That may well be true, but I was just stating the fact that we never experienced the issues that the reviewers did. Not everyone has the same experiences and I did not want the previous poster to only have one side of the story

If there are more than 2 in your party...good chance there will be a wait. We heard many complaints Christms week between 7 and 8:30 p.m.

FYI...the male matre d is a delight and you will see him pitch in to clear tables, and actually stop by the table to see how everything is...the female matre d is a sour puss and just plain rude...even when not busy.

Sorry.....so busy, no time to write !

The food has been Very good. We have been eating in BLU. Sin City was excellent when we want back. The premium drunk package is fantastic! water, coffee and drinks whenever you want. EXCELLENT service at all bars. Love the martini bar . Get a flight! All the entertainment has been good....we did NOT see the Ventriloquist. The pools are warm. Not too crowded as we are always able to find chairs . The music report if it being too loud are not accurate! The music volume is always perfect and I like their choices. Surrised by how many "mature" passengers there are. Glad I did not bring our adult children in this cruise. Booked an alcove and cancelled as it was too windy. The Spa is fabulous. Love the Persian Garden area . More later !

Thanks Suni, this is sounding better and better! How does "the flight" work with the Premium package? Do they just charge you the difference between the Premium package limit (which is either $12 or $13?) and the flight cost ($16)?

Last Nov we were charged a $3 diff for the 'flight' and just watching the show was worth it.

Everything was fabulous.

Time flew by. LOVED the group "Vibes". Yesterday the provided the pool party music and they were excellent . They usually perform in the lobby area.

The flights at the martini bar are a highlight . You pay the $3 difference if you have the premium package.

Nice art selection. We actually purchased a piece!

The casino was busy every night . I thought the dealers were unfriendly . Major contrast to how fabulous all the other staff were that encountered on the ship.

Really try to notice your surroundings. The ship is absolutely beautiful.

Day one Spa package is a great value if you purchase three treatments.

They need to get a grip on Persian Gardens. No system in place and it became chaotic at times. No rules enforced at all.

Our Butler was wonderful. Still don't understand how he is that different than a room steward, but he was great! Didn't need him all that much.

RIP OFF alert with photos! $22.95 for ONE picture . What a joke.

Wish we had tried another specialty restaurant. Got bored at BLU.

I cannot believe how quickly the week went by.....must go to breakfast now, catching a flight at 11:30. More later.

The major improvement on Reflection is the additional outdoor seating area outside of the buffet area. The ship is really clean and the staff is upbeat.

As for getting "bored at Blu", we usually do a couple of specialty restaurants and eat breakfast in the MDR to break things up.

We did eat at Tuscan Grill one night and it was delightful. Amazing view of the wake from the back of the ship. LOVED it.

If you can get invited to the sail away in St. Marten at the HeilPad it was a fun experience.
