Shamrock359 Posted July 20, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2005 Has anyone ever tried this supper club? I see that there is a $25/pp cover charge. Any idea of what the menu consists of? Worth the money? Dress code? Thanks for the info.
Jdleong Posted July 20, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2005 We were on the Spirit in April, and the Supper club was Wonderful! The service is fantastic and the food ...you leave there stuffed and the dessert was out of this world! Especially if you love chocolate.. The menu is mostly steak and seafood, and you select your veggies/sidedishes. I think it is worth the now $30 ... Hope you enjoy.

bphman Posted July 20, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2005 We were on the Legend in 2003 and went on 2 different nights. The first nught was fantastic. We sat on the main floor. The second time we went, we were upstairs and felt neglected and forgotten. The interesting thing was that we had the same server and we tipped her very well. Kept having to ask for things that shsould have been automatic such as filling our water glasses. The lack of service was reflected in her tip the second night. There were some officers up there with us at the next table which I thought would have helped service. Going on the Pride in a few weeks and am planning on trying it again. Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted July 21, 2005 #7 Share Posted July 21, 2005 Oh, I think I've died and gone to heaven! I could eat the MENU! Thanks for posting it, Derf! Everything there is still "current" with the exception of the desserts. They now have an Apple Tarte (fresh/must try), a trio of chocolate (w/includes the flourless choc cake), and something else... ???... !!! The other desserts listed are gone (you can still get cheese and fruit) Tom
hstrybuf Posted July 22, 2005 #8 Share Posted July 22, 2005 Oh no! No trio of creme brulee? I loved that when we were on the Legend. We thought the food in the Golden Fleece was worth every penny. Ambiance was nice too. If I remember correctly, they requested that gentlemen wear jackets, but we saw one guy walk in looking like he was headed to a luau. Oh well! Nope Deb :( No more creme brulee, I was disappointed too... but had the trio of chocolate something or other, and it was very good! That is the only way to get the flourless cake in the supper club now... it was very tasty!!!!
torpeedo Posted July 22, 2005 #11 Share Posted July 22, 2005 We sailed the Legend in Dec and there was a great singing duo. I believe the male singer sounded on the order of Willie Nelson ( not country music but vocally). They were great. There is dancing and a nice romantic atmosphere. A definite must do. I hear so many people talk among themselves around the ship and restaurant and have the opinion that it's the same as the main restaurant and why should they pay more $$. It is not the same as the main restaurant and is a great meal and worth the extra $$ to have a nice romantic evening. partman57 Posted July 23, 2005 #13 Share Posted July 23, 2005 We sailed in 03. We had a wonderful meal very relaxed and boy was it worth the money. I am so glad that I did not order the 24 oz steak. I could just get the 14 down. People can say what they want about the extra cost but nobody forced us to eat there. When I think of what the two of us get at Outback for the same price forget that. This is the real deal. Enjoy...............

The Golden Fleece is worth every penny and plan on spending about 2 hours dining. They just keep bringing the food and of course you must be polite and eat it!;)
