3adults in an inside cabin

We are sailing on the Pride and some friends are joining us. We have a balcony room but they all three want to stay in one room. I am trying to help them find a nice room. I'm thinking that it will be too crowded but they want an inside room? Are the French door obstructed rooms better? What is the third bed option in the inside rooms?

Did three adults in a balcony that had the Pullman bed in the ceiling, but decided to use the sofa bed instead. It is doable depending on how comfortable and familiar everyone is with each other. Issues with the bathroom/shower and getting reading for dinner, etc. was not a problem. Would I do it again? Only if absolutely necessary, and the 3rd person was a last minute addition again.

On the Legend, the 4k (french door/ obstructed view) was as big as a balcony room - much more spacious than the interiors, and had a sofa.

The sofa wouldn't be great for sleeping, but certainly better than an adult crawling into the pullman. Two of us had plenty of room, the french door offered lots of light, so it made the room feel so much bigger.

If they can, get the one between the lifeboats -- you can see sea, sky and shore between the lifeboats. There was structure, sure, but we could still see a lot, and open the door to enjoy the sea breeze and fresh air.

Im doing 4 adults in an interior room on the Breeze March 1st. Yes, we're probably crazy, but the savings was astronomical. Id be happy to report back when we return... if we all return ;) ;) lol

My mom, dad and sister did 15 days in a 4K, and didn't have a problem. all of them adults. It is nice to have that fresh air of the 4K

Be sure to get a Cabin that has the sofa and not Bunks ;)

It's a shame you can't open the port hole windows for a bit of fresh air..........and salty breeze! :D

We are doing 3 adults in a balcony on March 1st;). FIRST TIME EVER....

My BFF's DH received a FREE cruise and my BFF and I received Casino Perks. We put them all together to scrunch in one BALCONY room for a great price:D:D.

Can't wait.....see ya on the ship!!!

By looking at the deck plans it looks like in a regular inside their only option for a 3rd person is an upper bunk. There are some 4K's that have the 3rd person on the sofabed. I think I would go with that option, especially if the 3rd is a bigger guy. We have had my teenaged daughter in an upper with 3 in a room and it was a little crowded and I would think a big guy wouldn't be that comfortable up there.

Make sure you look at the deck plan. I took my dau. and two children (18 and 23) on a cruise last yr. They had an inside. Carnival assured me it had a bunk. When we arrived they put a cot in the room! At that time I had traveled Carnival 17 times, I went to guest services, no change. I really should have ranted and raved, it was terrible. The person near the wall had to climb over the person on the cot. It was a gift to my kids, I was mortified!

Shame on Carnival. The ship was the Fascination.

I cruised with my parents to Bermuda last August in a balcony room. We kept on losing things way under the beds but that was more comical than annoying. We timed the bathroom thing fairly well until the last morning and then we were walking in on each other.

I'm cruising with them again in a few months and this time 8 days.

I am gasping for air thinking about this. Lol. Good luck.

We did 4 in an interior on the Pride in Sept. and it was the smallest cabin we had ever been in! We just booked the Pride again for May, only in a 4K, because looks much better. I would definitely say go with the French doors over the interior!

Use the showers in the gym if possible...bigger. Good luck. My Dd, DS, DS'GF all shared an inside...DS and GF like to sleep with TV on, DD did not. DS and GF are messy, DD is not. Told DH is was not a good idea, but couldn't swing the solo room for DD. They still talk.

I would highly recommend one of the French door 4K rooms instead of a standard interior. The 4Ks are much larger rooms than regular interiors (by about 35 sq.ft.), and the 3rd person sleeps in the sofa bed instead of an upper. The sofas are not comfortable, but neither are the uppers (and neither are their regular beds). Carnival beds used to be soft & very comfy, but they are now rock hard, unless that ship hasn't changed over to the new hard beds. I make adjustments, such as keeping the room warm and sleeping on top of the comforter. There are no 3-person or 4-person 4K rooms between lifeboats, so just pick whatever. Your view will be all lifeboat. We had 4130, and I was the 3rd. We definitely enjoyed it much more than a standard interior.

The comment about the cot would not apply to your ship, as the Pride is not allowed to use cots/trundles/rollaways. Only Fantasy class, Sunshine, & Triumph class can use those, as those are their older ships.

When we did the mom/daughters cruise on the Pride, we had 3 adult people in a 4K but the room could hold 4 and we were between lifeboats. It's doable and patience (and vodka) is required on everyone's part but taking a few minutes to organize is key. Use all the space available including the drawers under the couch. We also put our suitcases under the beds and used them for dirty clothes, shoes and storage. A "big guy" may find it difficult to get up to the Pullman but my dd says the slight vibration rocked her to sleep.

We did the Mediterranean from Barcelona to Dover in an inside with two twins and two bunks (makes more space). It was fine! We had convenient elevator access to the Spa showers and nearby extra toilets/sinks in the big restrooms outside the main Show Lounge.

Of course, I didn't have to climb the ladder and sleep up top.

If you have adults who are ok with that part, I think it's completely do-able.

I have done three and four adults in an inside several times. You just have to be courteous and don't pack too much.

The pull down beds have a weight limit of 250 lbs.

The couch is just as comfy as the beds.

It does depend on which ship you are on, the old ones have trundle beds with awful mattresses (ask the steward for a mattress from an unused bunk if you get one of these).

The best option would be a porthole, but if they are all sold out, try an OV that has a couch and twin beds, so that only one person has a drop down.

We always asked the steward to put the bunks up during the day to allow for more room.
