Breaking $ bills

I am planning on bringing some smaller bills, but am also wondering how big of bills will Carnival break for you? Or do they not really break them? $20s? Would they do $100s? Trying to plan my cash for excursions, taxis, etc. But don't want a fat wallet or to lose any bills.

Thanks.

yeah just go to the casino cage to break bills.

i've noticed they sometimes tend to run low on 1s by the last night(s) and i've even been 'rationed' to less than requested so they didn't run TOO low.

but otherwise no worries

Fastest way to break big notes is at the casino cashier as there is never a big queue :)

You can only get Ten $1 bills at a time but if you break a Hundred into 10 ones and a few 20,s you can just break a $20 each day into one $10 and Ten $1,s:)

If you are a big tipper and Ten $1,s isnt enough each day for over and above tipping you can queue up at guest services for the privelage :D

You can insert your larger bills into any of the ATMs / (those computer kiosks where you can check your sail and sign balance) and it will give you smaller bills in return.

On the dream and breeze they have the kiosk by guest services and on deck 5 that you can break money, check out your sign and sail and pay on it also. I have used it and love it!

Kiosk will break $100 to $20, $20 to $10, $10 to $5. Smaller than that you need a cashier

I know most people don't use them anymore, but if you can get travellers cheques without paying a premium, I like getting these in large denominations.

Cruise ships will change them for you at the casino or at guest services and you are protected if they are lost or stolen.

Have a great cruise

Used the kiosk everyday before heading off to port to break 100s into all smaller bills just like cruise queen said

I do the Neal Boortz $1 plan (save all your dollar bills throughout the year, don't spend them when you break a larger bill) so I have a large pile of bills by vacation time. I just take a stack of 1's and leave them in the safe & grab a few as I need them.

I do this as well! Makes saving a whole lot easier. Then the week we leave we go to bank and get bigger bills for all but 100 singles and use them as extra tips all week

Both of our banks stopped carrying them a few years ago. They said there were seldom requests for them.
