Strange question on Celebrity's Cabin Doors

Are the doors on Celebrity's Solstice Class Ships (Millennium) magnetized?

 

Have you ever seen anyone decorate their door?

They're not magnetized, they're metal. Except in the suites. Therefore, your magnets will work on them. The walls inside the cabin are also mostly metal.

 

And yes, some people do decorate their doors.

We have made door signs and had them printed on magnetic paper at Office Depot.

Great! That's what I wanted to do, but only remember seeing them on Disney Cruises and there are a lot of threads to get signs/magnets for Disney's doors. Wasn't sure less child-oriented cruise ships would do them!

I find it handy to bring some magnets with clips on them to use on the walls. They're handy for posting the daily schedule of activities, captain's club events, coupons, etc. which otherwise are tough to keep track of.

We've cruised at holiday time and a lot of people decorate their doors. We had a sign on ours. I use a command removable.

We were just on Century and those doors were not metal and we could not put our "usual" magnetic door sign(s) up. I think the areas around the doors were, judging from what I saw on other cabins. Very strange as I'm positive we used the same signs on Mercury (which I thought was the same build).

Century is the oldest ship in the fleet and not for long. The "newer" ships AKA the Millie do have wooden doors on the Sky Suites and up but the other cabin doors are metal.

Double sided tape is not going to hold a bathrobe, pocketbook or other heavy objects up. My magnets hold 80lbs.

The double sided tape is for door decorations. Put your heavy hanging objects magnets elsewhere. :rolleyes:
