Grand Princess Cabins

Thinking about booking my first Princess cruise and have a few questions regarding the cabins.

Mini Suite on Deck 8, aft only 1 left E725

Balcony, Deck 14, Lido - L202, L206, L215

Balcony, Deck 13, Aloha, A 226, A 219 and few other cabins around these numbers.

I want to make sure I have a fully covered balcony and not familiar with Princess. Can anyone suggest the right cabin for me?

If you want a fully covered balcony, go for the Caribe Deck.

Caribe balconies are about half covered & decks above are fully covered. Even the fully covered balconies may get some sun when it's low in the sky. If I recall correctly Emerald minis aft are fully covered unlike the fully exposed ones on Dolphin deck.

I don't know about Lido but those on Aloha & Emerald you're considering are fully covered & friends were very happy with the aft deck 8 minisuites.

Forget Lido. Aloha and Emerald OK

Is a balcony essential? For about the price of a mini suite (not to be confused with a suite by any means), you can get a Window Suite on Deck 6 midship. There are only 21 cabins fleet wide. Grand is one of the ships.
