cheewiee Posted July 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2014 If you don't know there is this place called Trader Joes, that sells wine from Charles Shaw, for what was $2.00 (Now it's $2.50).. But lets say you could purchase a bottle from Bon Voyage, how much do you think it would sell for? My guess, $30.00...

I think you may be a little high on your estimate.
golfadj Posted July 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2014 would guess about 15-20. by the way 2 buck chuck is now over 3 and close to 4.

Considering Carnival sells a bottle of Malibu that I can buy locally for $15 for about $70 onboard I don't think their estimate is high. Rare crewsweeper Posted July 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2014 One rule of thumb used by some restaurant/bar owners is that the price paid for the booze should be 20-30% of the price charged. Thus $2.50 paid for a bottle of 2 Buck Chuck would equal ~$8.50-$12.50. A retail bottle of Malibu would be $50-$75 (not out of line with the BV price). We just had a Trader Joe's open in Burlington and I was able to buy it for $2.99 and I believe that was a sale price.

Since you can bring 1 bottle per person onboard, I dont think it makes much difference. just bring it.
