Save 10% on Carnival Gift e-Cards through Verizon program

I'll keep an eye out as well - glad to hear that they're temporary unavailable. It's a much better system to NOT show them on the website vs what happened to a lot of us earlier this month: they showed in stock, we put in credit card info and hit "purchase"... then it said they were out of stock. The hold remained on credit card for three days.

 

Cruise is paid off, mostly with the 10% off ecards, but I'd like to buy a few before our cruise to put on the S&S card.

I called Verizon this morning and was told they are temporarily unavailable. Hopefully they'll be back soon, have 2 cruises to pay for and I like saving $$$.

I just tried to. Was going to buy one and use to make a payment on a cruise. Every little bit helps. They still aren't there.

I called last Friday and again they said they were temporary out of stock. They have been out since Jan 22, 2015. I wish they would hurry up and be available. While I have some extra cash I would like to purchase a couple of the egift cards. I will keep checking, but if any one sees them available, please post.

This is the email I received from Verizon customer service on Fri.

We are currently enhancing the security features on all eGift Cards, and as a result eGift Cards have been removed and are unavailable. Regretfully, we do not have a time frame one when we will be reinstating the eGift Card features. Please feel free to purchase any of our standard gift cards. I just came across this thread and immediately went and signed up on it and found that I had over 50k points. But then couldn't find the coupons (only found RCL). :( Then I discovered this was not a recent thread and they are currently out of them for Carnival. Darn.

 

 

I guess I'll keep watching like everyone else.

Thought I would pass this on. Just went in tonight and the e-gift cards are back on the website. In both $100 and $500 increments. :)

Thanks for letting me know!!! I just printed one too. I hope they will continue to have them. I want to use them to pay off next year's trip.

 

I did some yesterday and now have less than $400 to pay off balance - which isn't due until DEC 7. Plan on getting some every month if they are available and will end up with enough to pay the S&S account. Any extra on the account I will simply cash out at casino the night before then end of cruise.

And the Verizon Rewards gift cards are gone again, even though the website states there are $500 and $100 gift cards left. I have tried this 3 different times (with different denominations and changing my cart to "1" card instead of "2" ) and I have to type in all only to find out at the end they are out of stock.

I figured I would try it out as well (who doesn't need more cards anyhow lol) and it let me go all the way to the end and even put in my security number from my cc as if I was purchasing them and I hit the buy button and it took me back to the order screen asking me to remove the item because it is sold out. :rolleyes:

Ok, I just had to come back here and post this...

 

 

I just looked at my BOA statement for this transaction and the payment is actually there! :eek: Yes, it's still "pending" but then again so are the other ones that I purchased when they became available again. I'm really hoping they didn't charge me for this since it let me go all the way to the end with it even putting in my cc 3 digit code and hitting "submit" only to tell me they are sold out. :rolleyes:

 

Anyone else have this happen tonight?

 

Where is it you go again to view them (where you would normally print them out on the Verizon site)? I know I found it somehow yesterday, but can't find the transactions tonight just to see if it's there for some reason. :confused:

Go to your account and then your purchase history and you can see if a card was generated. Either that debit will fall off or eventually you will get the ecard. This happened sporadically before when this program started. Never to me but I read about it in other threads. It will eventually get straightened out. I only had one problem a few months ago when I purchased an e card and went to use it and it came up invalid. I had to call the rewards department to get it straightened out.

Now you mentioned once you purchased an ecard and it was invalid when you went to go use it. YIKES!! What happens if you are on the ship and this happens? Will they call the rewards department to get it straightened out for you? I could see this as a big mess if you are already on board and trying to get them to apply it to your on board account. :cool:

See posts around #95 happened to me too. All was resolved and I just bought some again that's how much I like them!

Lol. I wouldn't worry about it. After I tried to use it and it came up invalid, I checked the number myself on the carnivalgiftcards dot com site and it also said invalid. Had I checked it beforehand, I would have known and gotten it fixed first. So just check your gift card balance before you leave.

 

I can tell you that any issues with these cards have to be fixed through the rewards program. There have been very few from what I've seen for the volume they have sold. I have purchased so many!! I have a thick folder of e receipts and only one glitch, which was fixed.
