Where was this picture taken?

This was aboard the Norwegian Sun on October 30, 2011 at Port Canaveral, Florida - it was taken on Deck 7 inside the Sun Club Casino before it opened for the cruise. Apparently, they close the curtains that cover these nice windows to keep it dark when the casino is open.

When we got back into Port Canaveral, they reopened the curtains in the casino.

I guess I'm totally confused now. The first post above says Sun and the second post has a link where it says the Star.

I have been on the Star and don't remember anything like this. I'm really hoping that this is on the Sun since we will be on her in November and I think this picture TOTALLY ROCKS and want one just like it! :D

Are you really sure that this was deck 7 looking out a round casino window ?-?

cause your should be looking at Life Boat davits and not the deck 6 Promenade

jogging track.

I think redfantum came pretty close to nailing it:

Guess should have been NCL SUN Deck 6 inside the ships Library looking out

the port side onto the Deck 6 Promenade jogging track.

Reference Cruisedeckplans.com (LOGIN) check deck 6 and go to meeting rooms

Malaysia room and then the Library (view click on small camera icon) !!!

Then again I could be wrong but the Deck 6 Promenade jogging track (which

I have been many miles around) is the obvious photo clue ! Deck 7 does

not have an outdoor deck ?

Try the NCL DAWN which matches COSTA's Deliziosa; Luminosa; Atlantica and Mediterranea in size and general stats.

Note the NCL DAWN sister ship class is the NCL STAR.

The similarities are probably due to the panamax sizes. The Dawn was build in Germany and those Costa ships in Italy. No sisterships to my knowledge, but good research on the tonnage and size though! :)

Well then my second round choice would be the NCL SKY which I think was

originally built for Costa as the Olympia but sold to NCL during construction.

I have to admit that I am now confused too :(

I also think redfantum is right after looking photos on-line that it is deck 6 by the photo gallery. Sorry about that... all these years thinking otherwise. Guess I'll need to book another cruise on the Sun and see for myself.

Any case, it still is a cool picture.

Wow. You went on a cruise and do not remember what ship you were on? I'd stay away from the bars!!!

That is exactly what I was thinking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

It is not only the bars too watch out for... those jewelry stores in the port side shops can be dangerous too. On this cruise aboard the Sun, we made a port call in Falmouth, Jamaica and stopped by a couple of stores at the pier. In one shop, the asked me if I would like some Black Label. Not being one to turn down a free drink, I obliged their offer. Boy was it good on that hot afternoon. They offered me another one and then they just brought out the half full liter of Johnny Walker... DW ended up with some nice rings and I awoke later with killer headache in our cabin.

I love guessing games! FUN FUN FUN! This should happen more often!

Nice quiz :)

Another one: Which ship was the last ship to have the older NCL logo on her funnel?

1ncl-logo.gif

Still unsolved. ;)

"Which ship was the last ship to have/receive the older NCL logo on her funnel?"
