Sept 13th Breeze Gothic Cruise

I just found out that this cruise is also a Gothic Cruise. Does anyone know how many Goth type people will be on board??

How do you find out if there is a possibility of a group cruise during your trip?

Well, they are having guest performers, so probably a sizeable amount in the group.

Someone posted a website once where you could look to see if your cruise was a partial charter/group cruise.

I can't imagine a gothic themed cruise being too disturbing. Like the poster above said, probably won't be full of 'chogs'!!!

That’s very interesting! Last year on our Breeze cruise we had several groups and it was great we can appreciate everyone. This year we will get to know a different group of people we might not otherwise have gotten to know. Can't wait were on vacation so any issues for us!

I just googled 2014 Gothic Cruise and the ad was there. Advertised as including a masquerade ball. The pictures show mostly people in an assortment of dark clothing. Several bands will be here, so don't know how this will affect the public spaces. Due to the size of the ship, I don't think it will be over run with this group.

We were on a cruise that turned out to be a goth cruise a few years ago. Probably one of the most entertaining cruises I've ever been on! The outfits and conversations were unique, but they were truly a great bunch of people and watching peoples reactions to them was priceless. My son and his friends ended up on some kind of a religious cruise the same week. and I can guarantee we had the better time!

Goths tend to get a bad rap. While I'm not personally in the goth scene, we have a few friends who are. And they are some of the most fun, goofy people we know-who also have a deeply cynical streak, like wearing dark clothing and a lot of makeup, and many are in the local theatrical scene. The ones who are cruising are likely to be more fun and a bit more social than the ones that get a little demonized sometimes. I think it'd be fun!

I've been a part of our local theater scene and I've met two of the bands that will be on this goth cruise as we had them here performing for our annual Vampire Ball a few times. Aside from their physical appearance, they will be no different than anyone else and tend to be smart, witty, creative sarcastic, funny and insightful. They are also a very tolerant group. They should be a blast to cruise with :) And I bet you'll see MAGNIFICENT costumes for the masquerade ball!!

We actually wound up on the Goth cruise on the Legend a few years back. It was really interesting.

 

They didn't bother anyone, were usually polite, and their dinner attire was amazing (elizabethan gowns and steampunk).

 

My son was 10 at the time and actually played cartoon trivia with Rogue, lead singer of Cruxshadows and they let us come to their concert.

 

The Goths were way less intrusive than a lot of "normal" people youll see on the cruise.

I definitely agree with all of the above. I hope someone on this cruise posts a review. I know that many of them will be putting a lot of work into their masquerade ball outfits and will probably love to be photographed in them!

I just Googled it and it had a short video and the outfits I saw were very interesting. They had some nice things put together. It reminds me of face off on syfy. Should be a neat cruise.

I think a Goth cruise would be pretty interesting . My DD had a friend who was Goth , very nice fella and I thought the clothes and jewelry and all were kind of cool. DD never got past the dying her hair blacker than the ace of spades phase :)

We were on a Goth cruise on the Glory a few years back. They had some awesome piano bar requests! Luckily, we had one of the best piano bar musicians Carnival has probably ever employed (Mark Weiser, "the piano whore") so he was able to belt out anything that was thrown at him.
