But, note that sometimes it just does not happen. We were on the Sojourn for 68 days, waiting eagerly for Shopping with the Chef, but it never happened. No notice and no explanation, but I suppose I could have asked at Seabourn Sq.

 

It did happen in Sydney. We went shopping with the chef to the fish market.

We have shopped w the chef in Saigon & saw him shopping in Mumbai. Also

Shopped in Bergen & a French port whose name escapes me.

 

Our recent Med cruise did not have the program although the previous cruise did in Messina.

It also happens in Melbourne. I've seen them at the Queen Vic markets.

The most interesting and enjoyable day of "Shopping with the Chef" I've experienced was in Casablanca at the huge Moroccan market.

We had a very small group (Pride) which really made it a special Seabourn event. "Cheffy" bought such wonderful/different foods~ we all enjoyed on the ship.

I am still wearing the black & gold caftan I bought that day.

Does anyone have experience of "Shopping with the Chef" on one of the Antarctica cruises? There should be some amazing opportunities in the Chilean Fjords. for fresh seafood.

There were no options on the 4th Jan.

 

I too thought we may have a chance.

 

We ended up walking to the fresh market in Chiloe. The food the next night was excellent fish.
