Mariner4 Posted October 6, 2014 Author #7 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I checked on marinetraffic.com and she is moving at 16 knots on her own engines so I suppose they managed to make emergency repairs

Euby Posted October 6, 2014 #11 Share Posted October 6, 2014 Is there an expected time that it will take to make repairs? I'm scheduled to be on the Veendam in a couple of weeks.

socalcruisers2 Posted October 6, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 6, 2014 October 18 sailing of Veendam. If you were scheduled on the Oct 11th sailing, have changed to the 21 day sailing out of Boston and have received a New Booking Number, you need to rebook all PINNACLE, SPA, and SHORE EXCURSIONS! Anything booked under your old booking number for ANY PART of the 28 day sailing, HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
Dave in NJ Posted October 6, 2014 #14 Share Posted October 6, 2014 I see Veendam on AIS, well offshore and almost due East of Boston and doing just over 17 knots. It would appear that the temporary repairs in Quebec have allowed the use of the damaged propeller for cruising; having it unavailable for maneuvering, astern, and fine speed adjustment was probably what necessitated the deadhead trip to dry dock.
