faith1989 Posted February 18, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Can you share your experience with Mr.Sancos? Do they offer massages...if so what is the price.
Purvis1231 Posted February 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2015 We enjoyed our visit there-they had massages but I cannot tell you the price but I am sure they are cheaper than the ship.
faith1989 Posted February 18, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted February 18, 2015 How far is it located from the port? Do they have shopping nearby?
Viscus Posted February 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Check out my review in my signature for a day at Mr Sanchos. As to your specific questions, there is shopping inside of the Mr Sanchos complex, but nothing major, and it seemed kind of tourist trappy. And they do offer massages, my wife did the fish pedicure for $20. They also offer other massage packages, prices didn't seem that crazy.
firemanbobswife Posted February 18, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2015 It's about a 5-10 min cab ride south of where the ship ports at. They do have some shopping there, but nothing like the main town does. We are doing the all inclusive this time around. $5 deposit refundable if you don't show and the $50 balance due at time of arrival. We had a great time before. Boys went on the ATVs, us girls stayed on the beach and drank Margaritas.
JohninDC Posted February 18, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2015 Taxi each way is about $17+tip for up to 4 in the cab - so pair up with others from your roll call! Mr. Sanchos offers both an all-inclusive (food/drinks) and pay-as-you-go side; water toys are an extra $15 per person. Check out their web site, this board, and trip advisor for more details.
Podna's Posted February 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 18, 2015 (edited) Going back to Sancho's for the 5th time this summer. Great service and we love the swim up bar. Edited February 18, 2015 by Podna's

Rare mitsugirly Posted February 19, 2015 #9 Share Posted February 19, 2015 We have been to Mr Sanchos and I have a complete review of it with TONS of pictures located in my signature line if you are interested. I do remember them having massages there, but can't tell you the price since I don't do massages.

I have clicked on your name and see what ships and where you have been, but it won't let me "click" on your lines. Thanks so much in advance! Do as John said and it should take you right there. They are usually pretty long and extensive reviews, so you might have to scroll down the page until you see the beginning of it. Also, I think it might depend on what you are on as well. I have had people tell me in the past that when they are on a phone they can't see it (or have their signatures turned off) but were able to see it once they got on a regular computer. Not sure what type of "device" they had because I can see everything from my phone, ipad, laptop or desktop.

That must be the problem, I'm using my iPhone and don't see the signature lines. I will pull out the old trusty laptop.
MrChocoholic Posted July 27, 2015 #14 Share Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) The trip by car is less than 10 minutes no matter where your ship docks, on a good road. There are vendors selling knicknacks and folk "art" inside the front entrance on your way to the restaurant/bar/pool and beach areas. To the left facing the beach is the Fish Spa where tiny fish eat the dead skin cells on your feet and toes. The pool is clean and inviting. The drinks are good if you watch whoever is pouring. The food is good--not outstanding--but satisfying typical botanas. The beach is wide, curving and pretty natural, not combed free of seaweed that gathers with the tide. One area is filled with lounge chairs and umbrellas and there are a variety of watersports, the other is undeveloped and untouched. They charge for everything so you can run up quite a tab if you feel like splurging on a sail, snorkeling, playing on the water slides, sipping a soda. You are expected to have just enough money left in your pocket to buy one of those garish Mexican wrestlers' masks on your way out. Or something. firemanbobswife Posted July 27, 2015 #15 Share Posted July 27, 2015 (edited) If you do the all inclusive side, then you will not run up any type of tab unless you do the extras like parasailing, etc. Well worth it for all you can eat and drink (with the exception of shots)! Rare skittl1321 Posted July 27, 2015 #16 Share Posted July 27, 2015 I recall the massages being priced about the same as massages in the US. So less than the ship; but not a great steal.

That's true. You can buy an all-inclusive day pass. Worth it if you intend to spend the entire day there. We didn't.
MrChocoholic Posted August 1, 2015 #20 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Bring one from the ship. ;) Bring towel and water shoes. There are some rocks and seaweed on the beach. Not bad but for people with tender feet...and you don't need pesos, they take dollars and the usual credit cards. Also don't forget the Rolaids. MrChocoholic Posted August 4, 2015 #23 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Now that I think about it, we ate lunch in a really cool restaurant first in San Miguel town, then went to Mr. Sancho's for about 3-4 hours just like you did. We agree it was totally worth it. I posted pictures of our half/day there on the other popular cruising website.
CaiteS Posted August 5, 2015 #24 Share Posted August 5, 2015 You can rent a towel for 5 bucks! We forgot ours and had to do so. We did the all-inclusive side and drank all day and ate! It was a great day.
JohninDC Posted August 5, 2015 #25 Share Posted August 5, 2015 Do you have to reserve or can you walk up and do AI? You can walk up - there are a couple of web sites that allow you to reserve and save $5 each.
