WMQueenie Posted February 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Where do you have dinner on the first night? We really don't want to make a reservation...want to get a feel for the ship and where everything is and don't want to be tied to a reservation just yet. So....where do you dine on the first night? Kattus Posted February 20, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2015 The Manhattan Room. Perfect first night dining experience for our group of 10 family members. Have fun! ~Robin Every Day at Sea is a Great Day I second The Manhattan Room. We were lucky to see a band play both nights we ate in there on our Bahamas cruise last year. My only advice is don't order the Cherries Jubilee for dessert, it came out all melted lol:D

Sizzlechest Posted February 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2015 The Cirque show should be discounted on the 1st night, so if you're going to do it, that would be your best bet.
Rare mking8288 Posted February 20, 2015 #6 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Sailing out of NY, we usually find most MDR's fairly easy to get into "early" without a reservation, true for the BA as well as many just finished their big lunch "feast" at the buffet at 12:30 or 1 PM. Our strategy as it's just 2 of us on the 2nd. time on the BA next month - do a table for 2 at 5:30 at Savior or Taste, smaller & easier to get seated next to the window than the Manhattan. Remaining flexible & keeping all options open - especially if the ship isn't fully soldout & packed with extra 3rd. & 4th pax up to max. capacities. We easily reserved the dinner "tent" show on day 1 last year among the 6 of us by booking onboard and got the discounted pricing. With 2 nights of comp'd LeBistro dining coming to us, if it's available this time - we will do day 1 & get our bottle of house wine to go along. :D
