Cant wait to see the ship. Know anyone in a Spa Jr. Suite?

Yes, we have friends on now in a Junior spa suite and we went to have a look st it.

Very nice just like a usual Junior suite but with a huge bathroom which has a seperate shower and the toilet is seperate room too.

The wow bands do open the cabin door as do the cards. So you can use either. But for ordering drinks and things, it is the card you are asked for. And you need your card for the emergency drill before you depart.

If the sea passes and WOW bands are in the room and not issued before boarding, do you know if it is possible to get to get a drink at the bar before the rooms are released and sea passes become available?

Yes. You use the documents that you use to board with.

Thanks for all the useful info.

Couple of questions, I thought everyone got the wowbands which also opened your door? No need for room cards?

Also have you noticed if Coors light is in the slect drinks package, and how it is served?

Thanks, enjoy your trip.

Everyone gets WOWbands but if you don't want to wear one (and not everybody wants to) you can use your seapass. The only time you really need your seapass is when you get on and off the ship.

I believe that due to the WOW bands being such a success, I love them, that they are being rolled out to more, if not all ships.

I think that you will see them on all new ships going forward.

Im not sure about retrofitting them on existing ships though due to the potential cost. Not only would hey have to change the lock mechanisms in every door but changing all the point of sale registers aboard the ship.

We will be sailing on Anthem June 20th. If you use your set sail pass at check in with luggage and your see pass is in your cabin where do they take your picture? When you ding on anf off the ship your picture pops up.

Can anyone comment on the Diamond Lounge, is there one on the ship?

Last, we were on the Getaway this past January and had to have a card in the slot to keep the electric on. We left one in the slot all the time so the air stayed on. People complained that the cards kept being taken by the stewart. We were in a suite and they never touchd ours. Is that an issue on Anthem? No suite this cruise. :p

You load your own picture as part of completing your on line check in.

DL is on deck 4 forward, starboard side.

where do they take your picture?

You can upload your photo when you check in online. If you don't, or your photo doesn't appear on the screen when you register in the cruise terminal departure lobby, they will take your photo then.

Restaurant bookings. If there are no spaces available when you book online or via the app, go to the restaurant and book. They don't release all the reservations to the electronic booking system so when the app says fully booked, it isn't.

all of this, the wrist bands are part of the enhanced version of the SMART technology. You can get more info on the Anthem main site on RCCL. Click under the Already Booked tab and it will show you; SMART check-in, SMART Concierge, etc that are accessed via the Royal IQ Ap on your devices, room or kiosk.

The tablet the check in personnel use has a camera - if your downloaded picture was not good or it didn't make it to the checkin system, they will take your picture with the tablet.

Yes, the Anthem has the same system where you need to keep a card (doesn't have to be your seapass card - any credit card sized card will do) in the slot to keep any electrical item on. The steward may take it out of the slot (to save energy - that's the point of the slot) but should not take it.

Remember that your room keycard has to be in the socket for the power to work - but any card will do so remember to pack a Library membership card, or your Nectar card for the job!

The USB ports and the European socket has power even when the card is removed and lights / av are out. Don't know about the U.S. Sockets we haven't used them :-)

Bionic bar. Not really bionic but robotic. Prices are $6 $9 or $12 and non alcoholic cocktails are included in the select drinks package. The main problem is getting your card or wow band recognised. After trying all our cards on all the terminals, our human assistant had to use her card to get us a drink.
