Thanks so much for posting this awesome review! It's made me so excited for our upcoming Miracle cruise.

Quick question: what time did you arrive back in port, and how long did it take to debark?

We arrived around 7:00 a.m. maybe earlier. I had FTTF and was off the ship and through customs by 8:00 a.m.

Enjoy your cruise!!!

FANTASTIC REVIEW!! I don't know what more you could have included. I have my date picked out for my Miracle cruise but haven't booked yet. But after reading your review, I am really looking forward to sailing on the Miracle. Thank you for the time and effort you put into this review. I loved it.

Wow..you answered do many little questions...to get to sail on this newest Spirit ship would be wonderful and it is absolutely so beautiful...I did not get a feel of the redo until today.

I would love it...THANKS A MILLION for such a though review...a seven day could be absolutely perfect..thanks so much...Sarah

You have shared so much...remember your last 4 day review..also very nice...and just fun to know while not the entertainment you dream about on some better lines for that...I would enjoy these shows and songs and the red frog pub with live music and a few comedy shows...and the deck parties...it just looks perfect...thanks..Sarah

I could go with a back to back lol...maybe switch to 4 day and 7 day from your reviews...lol..I like that shorter trip too....Sarah

On the serenity deck, was the pool in your photos adults only? I would assume so but on every Carnival ship I have been on with Serenity there was only a hot tub never a pool. That has always been my one complaint about Serenity, no pool!

Yes, it is.

Thanks Laurie! You made my day. Looks like we will be at Serenity every sea day.

Kim

Yup. The serenity area has a small pool.

Two things I forgot to mention in my review.

1 - this cruise was after most if not all spring breaks so we had very few kids on board.

2 - dolphin watching was abundant as we approached Cabo San Lucas both coming and going. The serenity deck was a great place to watch them from and several people actually anticipated this and brought binoculars. I'll keep this in mind for my next cruise. I tried to take pictures but the Dolphins and ship were too fast.

Excellent review. Thank you. A couple of questions, please.

We have never sailed on Carnival (afraid of the rumored "party" atmosphere) - was this an issue?

The cooking demonstration - was this a large event? was the food actually served? was there a cost?

The alcohol tasting - was there a charge?

Thank you.

No issues on this cruise as this was after most if not all spring breaks so there were few kids or college students. Just people enjoying their vacation.

The cooking demo had few people in attendance but there is seating available that covers the first floor of the restaurant. Samples are provided of each item and there is no charge.

The two alcohol tasting events were free:

First event is the usual Fun Shops alcohol tasting and each person is limited to two cups but you can get back in line. The lines are usually long so get there early.

Second event was the Johnnie Walker event. We sampled almost all the different varieties. You could drink several small sample cups provided.

Last year I did the four nighter on the Inspiration. Last day at sea we saw so many dolphins when we were on the serenity deck. I have been to the Caribbean over twenty times and I have never seen a dolphin in the wild. See hundreds on my cruise in Cali. We are sailing in early Sept. Are whales migrating at that time of year or not?

I think March/April and October/November are usually when most see dolphins and whales migrating but I can't say for sure. Hopefully someone else here may know. There were definitely a lot of Dolphins. Very cool to see! Hope you enjoy your cruise!!!

Great review and pictures! Thank you for taking the time. We were planning a Mexican Rivera group cruise for next year, but since learning that Carnival did not do the 2.0 food upgrades, we decided not to do the Miracle. After enjoying the sushi, Tandoor, Guy's, Mongolian Wok and especially the Blue Iguana tacos, that was a deal breaker. Honestly, I don't understand why they did half of the 2.0 upgrades:rolleyes: At the very least, they should have added the Mongolian Wok:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I posted the pictures of the Ruby Princess docking in Puerto Vallarta on the Princess sub forums. Another member posted pictures of the Miracle from the Ruby Princess. Very cool:
