New Casino Offers - Premier and Ultra

So much for that theory, then. :(

I'm still going to cancel my 4/30/16 sailing. I just don't need my solo deposit sitting there.

I suspect I simply don't spend/lose quite enough in the casino. Enough to get the Premier offers now (but not greatly reduced fares or lots of cash), but not enough for the others. Chances are I couldn't take any of them anyway because of my work schedule, deadlines, and needing to request my time off pretty far in advance. But it would be nice to get one anyway! Except then I'd be depressed if I couldn't use it! ;)

I was afraid that after I actually won on my last cruise that I'd never receive anything from them again but still got the latest round.

I have emailed the Players Club and complained about the Ultra cruises overlapping Premier and that both years, I was already booked on a Premier and had my airfare booked and couldn't/wouldn't switch. Told them I really hope that next year they won't have this overlap!

I think they meant you don't get other offer if you have free offer booked. I didnt get any bounce back offers on my last three cruises because they said I already had the free pack n plays booked (all four this year were the pack and play offers) I did receive a bounce back on last cruise (no free ones booked then) and last week got the new pack and play offers. So i think if you have free ones booked no new offers until completed. Now i have used the pack and play for next january cruises so will see if I get any other pack and play offers until then. I always get the premiere offers thru out year.

The very first time I cruised I received the bounce back letter on the last night of the cruise. Since then, I never get the actual letter, but the casino host told me to contact the players club and they will tell me what my bounceback offer is. So that is what I do and I always get another cruise. Sometimes an interior, sometimes an oceanview, sometimes with cash and sometimes no cash. I always pay and upgrade to a balcony. I get the premier, ultra and elite offers. Have never gottten a pack n play offer, maybe because I always have a bounceback offer or premier booked?

Could be why. I didn't even use my Bounce back this time because I had the Pack and play offers. I decided to do the big january cruise pack and play and paid for my ultra cruise this year. It is very tempting to use the pack and play for more this year but I'm thinking my hubby would disown me lol. He doesn't really like cruising so once a year with him and the rest with my daughters or friends.

Like I said, I've never gotten either a bounceback OR a pack-and-play offer.

On my Premier 5/31 sailing, I spent time with a couple who were on a pack-and-play offer but said they've never received a Premier offer.

I just don't get it!

Like I said, my Premier offers aren't even "that" great. Just reduced fares and $300 cash.

Hey, I'm not complaining. I'll take the Premier offers. After all, I don't drop thousands of dollars in the casino. If I had that kind of spending money, I'd be on luxury cruiselines!

I just wish there was some way to understand what triggers the various types of offers.

Still want to see what happens when I sail without a cruise booked. Probably nothing! :(

We will be on the ultra cruise on the breeze December 5th. This is our first ultra cruise. We are going on our second elite cruise in August. I have heard on other posts and people that the guest of the person invited is not included in the big drawings. The guest gets the drink card but not all the perks that the invitee gets. But hey I am still going and will enjoy myself. Good luck to all that get this great experience.

Well the bounce back letters should be last night of cruise if you have over 5000 points and if you don't have another free cruise booked already was what I was told. As far as the Premiere cruises I get same offer as you just reduced fare and 300 cash. I just started getting the pack and play offers last year and that was after taking 3 premiere cruises last year.

I received a bounce-back offer on my just completed Liberty cruise, which I had booked under a pack n play rate. ($90 pp + taxes) I had had my Feb. 2016 Splendor cruise booked since last Feb. -I booked it while onboard Splendor! and still got the bounce-back offer letter the last night in the casino. I also just received the Premier offers. Unfortunately, none work for me. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to who gets what.

This applies to me also. Was on a pack and play rate cruise. Had a future bounce-back cruise already booked and got a bounce back offer on the last night of my cruise (couldn't go on so many so close together). A few months later they offered a pack and play rate which I am using for November. I also received the premier and ultra cruise offers even though I didn't go on a premier this year.

Our last cruise I was friendly with the host and asked about getting a free cruise and points .What we were told is its 5000 points and he did ask if we had another cruise booked and we told him no.He said we qualified already and would have an offer the last night and we did.It was an interior for 2 but had terms about how long to book it from the date of our cruise and how long we had to sail free and the dates didn't work for us.

I don't know if anyone here plays at the Tropicana Casinos but we got a practically free interior cruise in October but we chose a Breeze spa balcony for about $1000 with tax and port charges through them on Carnival that wasn't advertised in our VIFP offers but an agent saw that we had the offer

Mine show up first in VIFP offers, then I usually get snail mail. I did get an Ultra email the other day.

I thought it was 5,000 points. I'm almost positive I had that by the last night on Conquest because I looked when she checked me in for the slot tournament that morning and I was already at 4,000 table points and over 500 slot points and then played quite a lot that last day.

Again, I probably wouldn't have been able to take another cruise, but it would be nice to actually receive the offer.

I had only 1 casino offer. Don't remember how these are communicated...

How are these offered through e-mail, USPS, or checking current VIFP offers?

Thanks!

Mike

My Ultra and Premier offers show online under VIFP offers. And once they show there, I get them in snail mail 2 to 3 weeks later. But by the time they come in snail mail, some ships/sail dates/categories are already sold out.

Yes it pays to check your vifp often. My offers are there but don't get an email or snail mail for offer sometimes weeks later and offer is gone. Sometimes I don't even get email or snail mail alerts at all on some of the offers. So best to check your online vifp account.

I got my Ultra invite and booked that same day on Magic. This is only going to be my 2 cruise. So I'm hoping we have a blast. I've heard the Casino will take up a lot of your cruise time during the Ultra and regular Premier cruises?

THat partially true. Yes the guest gets the drink card, invites to all the parties, you can do the day events the Guest just doesn't get a chance at the "big prizes" which last year were offered around 10 pm

I agree. I don't wait for the mailings anymore either. I check out my offers in my account at carnival .com Also, I go pack n go now. It's just plain cheaper than the offers. I don't drink alcohol, don't eat the strawberries, cookies or drink the comp champagne. So the drink card doesn't interest me to use it for water and diet sodas and I can only use so many casino gift beach towels and coffee mugs. LOL Now the times they pay my port fees - yeah I am there. LOL

Like others have said 5k triggers it. Also I have been told by 3 different casino hosts that if we have a follow up trip booked - they don't give us a freebie - just a discount - because we are already booked. They have us.

To me that's stupid. Keep the gamblers happy. It ticks me off to play next to some one all week and they get handed an envie with a free cruise and the host tells me I have something in my room. Yeah a discount.

I did my own experiment last year. I booked 5 cruises back to back. Hopped different ships in Miami. I got one free cruise from the bounce back and it was on the last cruise. I did win a freebie but that's something else. Other times it was the famous discounts. I had 10 k points within 24 hrs and nearly always get 5k the first night.

I don't gamble but sister in law does. She must lose a lot, because she is always going on these "free" cruises. She always invites us, it just hasn't worked out until now. We just found out we got a 4J on the triumph in February. $129.56 for taxes, fees, and port expenses.

WOW! That is so some serious playing-5k on the 1st night:cool:! (You must bid more than I do/can:D)

I was on a pack and play last week in Alaska. I have always hated that Carnival only gives you perks based on one cruise at a time versus a total of all your cruises for a period of time. We have been on 4 cruises this year and I always get between 3,000 and 4,000 points per cruise. Because I never hit that magical 5,000 points, no drink card on my next cruise and no free cruise.

That is until this time:D. I got a bounce back free cruise even though I only had earned a little less than 3,000 points. We did not have another cruise booked so it is totally true that it makes a difference. Unfortunately, the free cruise doesn't fit our schedule, but at least we got one.

We got back just in time to book the ultra offer on the Breeze for December 5th. I'm excited to see if it is as awesome as the make it sound.

  • 1 month later...

I don't think the premier cruises qualifying you need to be in a calendar year I think it may be just within a year. So if you took one within a year of the Ultra invite but it was in 2014 you may still have qualified (we took a premier cruise in September 2014 and the Ultra cruise for 2014 in December was already full with invitations going out the august prior, so they had to have the September Premier be a qualifier for the 2015 Ultra cruise in December 2015 not 2014). I was also told invitations go out mid July to beginning of August. You get to book one then its out of your offers, like the pack and go offers, once you book it you can't book another one.

A way around the swirling on the offers when you go in to look at them. Remove the word secure in front of the address. It does work. Saw this posted in another message.
