Largest Jump by the Upgrade Fairy?

Just wondering what the largest category jump anyone has gotten from the upgrade fairy?

On our first Celebrity cruise we went from an inside cabin to a suite with a butler. It spoiled us FOREVER :-) It was also the one and only time we were ever upgraded.

Over 10 years ago, we were upgraded from a D1 to a GS on Adventure of the Seas. We were never even told about the upgrade. We found out after we were on the ship and our key card didn't work in the door of the original cabin. (This was before everything was online)

Our Alaska cruise in May we went from an ocean view deck 3 to a D1 on deck 9. ;) This was our second upgrade, first one was a D2 to a JS.

On the Adventure out of San Juan one year - an E-1 smaller balcony cabin to a Junior Suite. Didn't know about it until we checked in at the pier - noticed the last three numbers on the sea pass card were different that the cabin we had booked. We inquired - they looked it up to see what kind of cabin it was - and said the new number was a Junior Suite. They said it was a pier side upgrade. To get our luggage, we had to check the hallway in front of the old cabin frequently - and then snatched up our bags when they appeared.

I've been upgraded 3 times.

The best one was from a JS to an OS (sort of)

I originally booked a JS. Then the price of the GS's went lower than what I paid for the JS. A phone call moved me into a GS at no extra cost. A short time later my cabin number changed and I was in an OS.

E2 to a GS. However they didn't call me but I watched prices. Went from an E2 to a JS and then to a GS. It was Splendor of the Seas and off season in Europe. Loved it but probably won't happen again.

back in 2001, we had a balcony on EOS and was upgraded to Royal Family Suite in the back of the ship. One and only....

GS to the Royal Suite!

 

Just my sis and I on a B2B. We had booked the same cabin for both legs. We didn't mind them moving us;)

 

At the time we were told it was done by the revenue department.

I didn't verify myself, but it was a real thread. I do think they were D+, and had never sailed higher than an ocean view.

Yesterday I called them and we went from an outside room to a balcony for $80 less than what we had paid. I was so happy. Did it for both our staterooms.

Went from a standard balcony for 3 to the Royal Family Suite on the Enchantment a few years ago. It was pretty awesome and didn't cost a dime extra!

I've gone from a balcony(D1) on Allure & Oasis to a Crown Loft on each. Both were no charge upgrades. Haven't seen any since but it was a good run.

Balcony to a grand suite on Oasis. Best thing they ever did - next three cruises we booked grand suites. We caught the bug.
