I was just curious as to how many people have checked to see what the limits are per offer on the cruises given by Carnival's casino. I personally have received the "100 cruises available" and wondered how often it is given. I've heard a few people talking about it on ships but its always meet with such scrutiny....

One has to read the individual rules for each individual casino offer to answer that question.

 

I currently see a total of 227 itineraries available under 3 different casino offers on Carnival's website, and I currently have 2 casino offers booked which caused some casino offers to drop off. Each individual offer has its own set of rules. I'm not really sure if that answers your question, but I can tell you the number of both casino offers and itineraries/ships available change constantly based on availability. Certain offers have different rules, so one must refer to the rules for each fare code offered to answer your question. For example, I recently booked a regular casino offer which gives a certain discount plus casino cash, and I continue to see many, many regular casino offers available to me after booking that casino offer. The second casino offer I recently booked provides very different perks and fewer sail dates/ships, and that offer dropped off immediately after I booked under that code. I also see a current casino offer which I have never booked which offers 2 free bottles of premium liquor along with a discount and I have never booked that, so I don't know if it disappears after booking one such offer.

 

This year I have also booked separate casino offers for the equivalent of free cruises, and also turned some of these offers down, but I continue to receive additional casino offers.

 

Where did you encounter the "scrutiny" you referred to? I have not encountered anything I would consider to be scrutiny in booking casino offers. I simply review the perks and restrictions associated with each individual casino offer to see if it interests me, and if it does, I book it. Otherwise, I don't.

Bounce Backs are good for 1 sailing

Ultra and Elite offers are good for 1 sailing each.

Double Downs are good for 2 sailings

Each Premier offering is good for as many of them as you can take

Pack and Plays are only limited to how much time you have to cruise.

Ok. Thanks that also explains why the offers seem to be nonstop for the past couple of years. Trust me im not complaining. Im still wondering how many people on C.C. will admit to getting this offer. The skepticism comes from fellow cruisers/passengers that refuse to believe the amount of cruises offered. I overheard a woman basically call a fellow passenger a liar. I wanted to interject but didnt....i wish i had. The woman speaking about the numerous cruises she recieved just looked embarrassed and quickly walked away. Soooo how many folks are willing to admit to having many, many offers. Not the 1-2 sailings but the "take your pick or take them all if you want" kind of offers.

We just booked a casino offer last month. It's on the pride in November. We booked ext aft balcony on the verandah for $419 pp. I think that's a great deal. I see the prices are like $100 more on any other special.

I get casino offers constantly, and just got a call for a free cruise this week, which we happily booked. I just attributed it to how much time I spend in the casino. Even though my husband has cruised more than I have, he doesn't really gamble so I assume that's why he never gets any type of offers.

I think sometimes people forget the reason they may get loads of casino offers is based on play and get embarrassed when people ask them how they get offers. On my last cruise, there was a woman who had 10,000 pounts by evening of the second day.

Well id find it hard for most people to lose enough to cover the cost of 10 cruises let alone 100. Perhaps it is somehow related to pride or embarrassment that makes people so uncomfortable discussing this topic.....however, as a person who loves to gamble:eek: (within my limits) i have no problem saying carnival casinos have been more than generous to me. I only wish could take off more time from work.

I paid full price for my first cruise, where I gambled for the first time. The rest have been casino cruises. I have explained to people the average amount of gambling needed to get a free cruise offer. But, people believe what they want. Unless you say, "Hey I lost $25,000 but I got a free cruise," no one wants to believe that you won $200 and got a free cruise. So, no need to be embarrassed. The offers and the circumstances for receiving them are no less real because others don't believe it.

 

I have only once, this year actually, received an offer for take as many cruises as you want for $100 with $100 OBC. I already had to pass on two free cabin offers this year that were only good for sailings through June. The time off work and airfare set my limit for how many I can take.

I have no idea why I get the casino offers I get (used to be just a reduced casino rate, now Premier & Ultra offers with just discounted cabin and some cash; no free cabin for me; have NEVER received a bounce-back or pack-and-play offer).

 

I gamble but not huge amounts. I do spend most of my evenings in the casino. I used to play only slots but tried Roulette on the first Premier sailing and loved it so played that almost exclusively on their last one (and won).

 

But it really is NO ONE'S BUSINESS - especially not a stranger on a ship - how you get your offers or what sort of money you spend!

 

It's rude, both from the standpoint of offering that information to strangers (that you're on a free (or cheap) cruise) or to tell them how much you've won or lost in the casino. Or for them to ask!

 

Discussing it here is one thing since we're talking with a bunch of anonymous people we'll probably never meet, but to talk about it with people you just met on a ship? Really? How tacky! I was taught that you don't discuss monetary matters with strangers. And you don't brag about your good fortune. Guess I really am old if this is just acceptable behavior now. :(

 

I've had people ask me how/why I was part of the Premier group when they've noticed the lanyard, and I just say I spend most of my evenings in the casino and received the invitation. No need to reveal the details. And if they want to pry, I just change the subject.

Most of the time I end up paying for any comps with my losses. Occasionally (like my last cruise on the Pride) I have a big win that covers the gambling on that trip and a couple of other losing trips. But mostly, yeah when I get free rooms or meals at land casinos or bottles of wine / strawberries / Premier cruise offers or a casino rate, I'm paying for it with my gambling money in the end.

 

And I agree NCTribeFan, it's nobodies business what I spend or what offers I get or how I got them.

 

I will explain the DOU card or the bottle of wine, but please don't think that Carnival is just being nice to me and not to you. I'm spending a couple of hours in the casino each evening (or a sea day or two :p) so yes, they want to keep me there.

Due to lack of vacation and other trips planned, we haven't been able to take advantage of any longer cruises. We've used one so far and have 3 booked.

 

We won and lost a lot in the casino. We of course lost more, so we actually stopped going on our last cruise, so this will probably be the end of free cruises for us.

Actually it is 99, you can book up to 99 cruises on some casino offers.

I had over 15,000 points on the first night on my first Carnival cruise. Nothing to be embarrassed about. I receive free cruise offers from several cruise lines all the time. I'd take more of them if I lived close to a port and didn't have the extra expense of flying. The cruises are really not free when you add all the extra costs.

 

I also do land vacations. Just came back from two weeks out West in the National Parks. Beautiful!

You might want to look into NCL. After my first cruise I was offered a free inside cabin on any cruise/date I wanted. For $600 I upgraded to a balcony cabin for Christmas week cruise on Epic! (they will have a free drink card waiting in cabin for us) Plus they gave me 20% off on my kid's balcony cabin. Have another freebie for NYE on Getaway- can't wait! On CCL the offers are hit and miss. I get bounce-back offers and Premier cruises, but didn't get the latest round of discounted cruises. I am not a heavy gambler - and I gambled even less on NCL, but got better offers from Casino at Sea.
