Puma03 Posted August 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 1, 2015 (edited) We were on a DCL cruise in December and many doors were decorated with cool magnets. Does NCL allow you to decorate the doors? Edited August 1, 2015 by Puma03

Linda the Book Lover Posted August 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2015 My entire door was covered and I had decorations inside the cabin for our CC cabin crawl that we kept up all week.

Thanks Linda, great to hear. It'll make someone very happy. :D Of course she'll probably have to join Magnets Anon. after the cruise, perhaps you'll be a member as well. :p
don't-use-real-name Posted August 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Is there some kind of attraction factor here - oh wait magnets also repel ! In walking around the ships have seen all kinds of decorations on the cabin doors and interior walls and ceiling. Birthday parties for the most part; anniversaries; bar mitzvahs and college affinity programs.
LrgPizza Posted August 1, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2015 It's definitely more of a DCL thing, but you will see a handful decorated. It's certainly allowed. Things get stolen though, so don't put anything of value or importance to you out there.

Rare All-ready2cruise Posted August 1, 2015 #9 Share Posted August 1, 2015 Are you cruising with Martha Stewart? ;) Ummm, not really, this girl is much more creative and she hasn't spent time in one of those special social clubs that MS was in for quite a while. :p

kcwingwalker Posted August 1, 2015 #11 Share Posted August 1, 2015 You can decorate till you drop. On our last cruise the steward was upset with passengers who had also decorated the carpeting in front of their cabin door with lots of glitter, confetti and other things that would make cleaning difficult for him. I went by 3 cabins daily that were decorated this way and it's impossible to avoid tracking the stuff. Not really fair to the crew.

grancayman Posted August 2, 2015 #15 Share Posted August 2, 2015 Hi I was on the Getaway in May celebrating my Dad's 85th with 19 others! Had signs made for all 10 cabins and was NOT allowed to put them up. We were told that it was a recent new policy having to do with fire safety. The signs were not paper. Everyone got a nice souvenir to hang at home! Lol!
