So frustrated with Princess reps!

They really don't know what they're doing! We're going on a 4 day cruise for hubby's birthday. Now, we're adding my son to the booking. For the last six weeks, the third person fare shows at $149, plus port taxes $75. Now they're saying that it's a "drop and go" fare and we don't qualify for it. Now, they are charging $230 or the third passenger! This is for the November 16 Star Princess cruise...

 

Mind you, all of this is through my TA....

 

This makes me really rethink .... An email to corporate will be following this post.

Also glad it worked out.

 

Drop and Go sales are usually for new bookings only.

 

But since you are not at final payment date (60 days before a short cruise), it would be the same as cancelling and rebooking, so no reason not to give it to you.

 

Of course, you would have to be in a cabin that could have more than two passengers or switch to such a cabin.

The major reason I'm happy about this cruise is that cruising with my son is always fun! He makes it even better.

 

I'm very hopeful to be able to do either Hawaii or the 20 day Caribbean cruise on the Royal with him and his girlfriend next year. That would be awesome!

 

My TA also shot me down about our Panama Canal cruise. I have the casino discount but learned that I could get the 3 for Free promotion as well, since some of my fellow passengers got it...:p:mad:

Nina, so happy for you that all worked out. We take our family as much as possible and it's always a wonderful experience. We get to spend the time with our kids and also see our Grandsons love the experience. Helps keep us young! Memories are forever!!!!!!!

Not sure what you meant about that Panama Canal cruise. Did you get the 3 for free promo with your casino discount. And keeping the price the same??? Now that my cabin category has gone up with the casino discount they want to charge me $257.00 more pp more than my

original casino price if I add the 3 for free promo.

I just added the 3 for free on my casino priced booking. The price did increase by about $80 per person for a mini suite. This is the amount of increase in the casino credit. Frankly, your increase seems to be more than the amenities under the 3 for free are worth.

You need a new TA.

 

Thing is she's usually very very good!

 

You could cancel & rebook.

Cancel with the TA, rebook with Princess, then shop for a better TA.

 

If I cancel and rebook I will lose the casino discount... it's no longer available on that particular cruise.

 

I notice we're on the same November 16 cruise...
