Booking under maiden name

I recently booked an early saver for February under my maiden name. I didn't think about it as Carnival input my information for me as a past guest. My maiden name is still on my current drivers license along with my married name. Does anyone know if this will be a problem for me?

Example:

Booked under Jane Doe

License says Jane Doe Smith

I would just call Carnival and fix it. They should be able to fix it simple. Tell them you didn't realize they booked under your maiden name without adding the married name and tell them exactly what is on your license.

My wife went through this a few years ago. Not a big issue, just called Carnival up and they fixed it within a few minutes. Just make sure it matches your passport or driver's license.

Since the early saver does not allow name changes I didn't know if a name correction is considered the same thing.

Why not call Carnival to see what needs to / can or cannot be done rather than discussing it on an opinion chat board? :)

Even with ES you can correct the name. I did it for my son in law. Passport name and booking name were just slightly different. PVP said they need to be exact but there was no charge for the correction.

The more important issue and the basis for an accurate answer to your question is what are you using for Proof of Citizenship?

 

If a passport, your booking should be made as your name appears on it.

Thank you for the helpful replies. To respond to summersigh... I just realized the mistake today and am unable to call Carnival today. I thought I would reach out to this helpful and experienced community to maybe calm my worries until I am able to make the call.

Well to be honest if worse comes to worse, and it won't or shouldn't, all you have to do is take your marriage license with you. Happened to me once after married. Took my marriage license and no problem.

 

But, I still say call Carnival and fix it.

I was just concerned that some of the information you were getting seemed to be conflicting and I've heard stories on Cruise Critic about folks who were denied boarding because names didn't match up perfectly. My hope was that Carnival would give you the correct information and/or fix what needed fixing.:)

I would call to see if they can change it. We ran into this with our DIL a few years ago. She took the marriage license and it was all good. I believe as long as you have a "bridging" document showing the connection between the two names you are good. At least it worked for her.
