Tea

I'm going to New Zealand 0n the Golden Princess on February 11th 2016

I am BIG tea drinker ( not herbal just black tea)

Just wondering if anyone knows if the tea is nice or crappy and should I take my own teabags??

I would be devastated if the tea is crap as I'm pretty much a Twinnings and Lipton girl

Thanks in advance [emoji3]

Yes there were wooden boxes with a good selection of black and herbal teas in the buffet a couple of weeks ago. I can't give you an ironclad guarantee but I'm fairly sure Twinings was there.

Plus the International Cafe served pots of tea, there were a few varieties.

I think you'll be ok. I was on deck 12 so just popped up s flight of stairs to the buffet whenever I felt like it, and brought my tea back to my cabin.

Princess also serves an afternoon tea with small sandwiches and pastries in one of the dining rooms. Casual dress is fine.

If you buy a coffee card they have specialty teas which do not require a punch to the card. This is usually at the international café. 24 hours a day.

Hi,

If you are considering bringing your own Tea bags check it's OK to take them into New Zealand. It may be OK to take an unopened box but maybe not if you take a ziplock bag with some in.

PS You can't beat a good brew :)

You've had some encouraging responses about the included tea on your ship. :)

Pretty similar on virtually all ships.

If you had asked about the included coffee, the responses would have been much less encouraging.

Pretty similar on virtually all ships

Unless you enjoy drinking mud, take your own coffee and use the hot-water boiler.

Or buy a decent cup of coffee.

Or stick to tea. ;)
