We are traveling on the Sunshine in two weeks. We are Platinum and the three groups traveling with us are not. However they have early dining(choice), and we are waitlisted for early dining(choice) What gives?

Many questions come to mind. Did you all book the same time? Are the reservations tied together? Were there any changes made to a reservation after booking?

Hope the other groups at least are linked together if they want to dine together.

All four cabins booked at same time, paid for at same time, no changes made, and all linked together at time of booking. I told my wife if we weren't sitting together at early dining we would get off at first port of call and have them fly us home.

As Platinum, you should not be waitlisted. That's one of the perks...you get priority choice of dining. Give them a call, and if it's not resolved, meet with the maitre d' upon boarding. It shouldn't be a problem.

Platinum can be waitlisted. I'm waitlisted right now on one of my future cruises. Platinum has "priority," and only Diamond has "guaranteed" dining option. But in OP's case, with all being booked at the same time and tied together, I don't understand why all cabins didn't get the same dining time.

I've been wait listed right up to the week of the cruise and was confirmed that week. If that doesn't work out the Maitre D' is the next option.
