Sealed Container to Transport Snacks/Appetizers from the Windjammer?

Expert RCCL Cruisers HELP!

 

Would it be violating anything on the ship to pack a small container for use on the cruise to obtain some snacks/appetizers to share in the cabin/suite? Sometimes we like to venture up to the Windjammer to look at the food selections. We have often said, "wow, that would be great to enjoy as late afternoon snack in the cabin." Example: Cheese/crackers, sliced fruit, other treats.

 

TO BE CLEAR WE DO NOT PLAN ON REMOVING FOOD FROM THE SHIP WHEN MAKING A PORT CALL.

 

Any thoughts?

Bob, not taking food on the ship. We want to take food from the Windjammer at say lunchtime and have it for late afternoon in our cabin. Pre-Dinner snacks with our wine on the balcony.......

We use to order cheese from room service but heard its off the menu for rs. So I plan on bringing some foil sheets to bring cheese to our room and enjoy late afternoon on balcony. We bring our own crackers honey likes ritz, lol.;)

No problem, taking WJ food to the stateroom. Note also, that room service is available for no charge in the afternoon, except on Quantum class.

No problem at all!...Last year we needed to be off the ship by 6am to catch an early flight. The second last day before debarkation we got enough muffins for the next morning, because we knew we wouldn't have enough time for breakfast. The WJ staff put the muffins on a plate and wrapped them in plastic wrap. Next time I will bring a couple of zip lock bags so the staff won't need to go out of their way for us. You may not want to do this with dairy products however, because the cooler in your cabin is not as cold as a refrigerator and the food items my spoil.

Nothing wrong with it. It is simply relocating where and when you eat it:D

Ditto on the use of the "cooler" in cabin. It is not a refrigerator nor an insulated cooler. We made this mistake by taking a small carton of chocolate milk back to our cabin and placed it this "box". Next morning it was curdled.

Put it on a plate,dish,or bowl and walk it to your cabin

 

Get silverware also if needed

OP - No problem. If you don't want to bother with bringing a container, you can put a few things on a plate, and then use another plate as a cover.

Just off the GOS, a cheese plate was on the room service menu. We had it one night when we opened one of the bottles of wine we took aboard.

We bring tupperware sandwich containers, ziploc & paper bags. We order the danish w/ room service, and the extras go in the ziplocs. We often bring sandwiches onboard the airplane, then use them for storage later. The paper bags are used to ripen fruit.

 

After hearing about the scary adventure on Anthem, I'm planning to keep food in the room.
