Oasis Suite Experience 12730 Mar 26-April 2

Hello all :)

Time permits me from writing a full review, but I will summarize our cruise and say it was fantastic! It was our second time on the Oasis, and gosh darn, I love those big ships!

We were in GS12730 (soon to be an Aqua Suite?) and our daughter and her friend were in the OV balcony (12728) beside us. Please do not flame me, but I prefer to cruise in a GS or above ( I am also Diamond status)

Here are my thoughts:

-luv luv luv our suite! yes 11730 has a larger wrap around balcony BUT, the wall climbers will see you on your balcony, not so on 12730. (14730 had small balcony...I would not select!)

-luv luv luv the Coastal Kitchen (CK) and the Suite Lounge. Amazing staff with amazing food. We ate in the MDR once, which was enough for us. Specialty Dining Restaurants and CK were our evening dining venues of choice!

-luv luv luv the ZOOM wifi... Enough said.

-Luv luv luv the entertainment on board!

-luv luv luv our suite attendant Mario.....Thank you.

-luv luv luv Starbucks onboard. Grande skinny Americano Misto fit the bill most mornings!

-luv luv luv CHef's Table in the CK. The best that I have experienced! And our director (sorry cannot recall his name) was nothing short of fabulous.

-luv luv luv, that Diamond members can pickup their 3 gratis cocktails anywhere on the ship during designated hours. We went in the Diamond Lounge once (does not even compare to the Suite Lounge) and decided that was enough. We decided not to purchase a drink package as between the 3 cocktails and the generous barkeeps (Sutali and Wesley....thank you for the laughs and the pours) at the Suite Lounge, we were more than satisfied. (To note, on occasion, we did buy our own wines at dinner and also did purchase cocktails that were not included in the Suite or Diamond Lounge).

-luv luv luv the Suite Concierge, Claudine. WOW.. Four Seasons Resorts would be lucky to have this amazing attendant!Thank you for your amazing service!

-AND, the very best perk of staying in a suite, IS THEE escorted walk-off with the concierge attendants at a designated time (ours was 8:30 at the Champagne Lounge) to be whisked by and in front of the snaking line of departing guests. Now, I am sure that I will be flamed....however, for the additional cost of a suite, this perk was GOLDEN. ( time from our suite to catching a cab 15 minutes total. Priceless)

Summarize: With the addition of the Coastal Kitchen and the Suite Lounge, the RCCL suite experience certainly has surpassed my experience on Princess and Celebrity. ( We had a tentative cruise reserved on Crystal for the fall but had cancelled it, as we felt RCCL suite cruising meets our requirements re: entertainment, speciality dining, etc.

We have a cruise reserved for the Navigator next year, but have the feeling that it may not live up to the "big" sister ships.

Please feel free to ask any questions.

Happy and Safe Travels.

:)Pam

You pretty much nailed it. We did Oasis last year in an OS. We didn't think we would like the "mega" ship, but after the second day we clearly had jumped to conclusions.

We are now booked for October on Allure and taking the kids and grand-kids. Hopefully, we can take them with us during the escorted debarkation.

I agree that the addition of the Suite Lounge and Coastal Kitchen has signficantly enhanced the suite experience on Oasis class.

Thanks for the report.

I said to my husband at FLL after departing the Oasis, " Why would we want to do a land based vacation again(we travel to Maui 1-2x per year and around the world) when there are so many activities to do, so much entertainment onboard, such engaging and amazing staff, we have so much fun, and meet such great people while we are onboard Royal Caribbean?". I am a very discerning Type A Traveller, and the Oasis Suite Experience absolutely sold me on future travel with Royal Caribbean.

Happy and Safe Travels.

(on TripAdvisor....WEARECANADIAN). I am just putting this out there, to let new cruisers know that we have travelled fairly extensively and that this cruise was one of our top Vacations!) Kudos To RCCL

Can you advise please, if the complimentary drinks available in the Suite Lounge are also provided in Coastal Kitchen for Lunch and Evening meal for full suite guests?

Thanks in advance.

Heading out in a couple of weeks. Is Cladine going to be there? We sailed in September and agree with your review of the perks especially the walkoff

Received my email last evening from Concierge for my April 30 sailing and it was from Claudine as well as Allan
