guy999 Posted April 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2016 Now that the Michael's club is included with sky suite, and you get the suite only restaurant for all four of these suites, Are there any additional benefits that come along with being in the higher end suites? I have found that you get laundry done, but that seems to be it? I am of course not including that you get a much nicer room, bigger, better balcony etc? With RS and PH you also get unlimited speciality dining and a premium drinks package, in room bar set up including two bottles of spirits, beers, sodas etc. I would also add there are several more little touches, not always important but nice...These include flowers in the room, being escorted on board, preferred seating and times in the specialities... Last time I went on equinox in a royal suite, I guess I missed out on a bunch of these things. Because for example, the flowers I didn't get any of them. I actually bought some in port for my wife because she does like fresh flowers. Never got escorted, didn't even know that was a possibility. We booked the speciality restaurants, but I don't think we got any special times... I actually asked the butler for help to book, but he just told me it was faster if I called them directly. I was happy with my cruise and the last one was 4 years ago i believe so it's possible that things have changed since then.

Probably the biggest difference is hardest to specify or quantify. With each level of suite there is a subtle difference in the level of service you receive. For example, in a PH you will find you are known, and will be greeted by name, by crew members the first time you encounter them. As chemmo has said, there are many little things that make your cruise special. For example, on our last cruise [in a PH] I had said that I should like to drink "proper champagne" in Michael's Club. When we boarded, we found that our welcome bottle of Champagne had been upgraded. Another example: we bring on our own flowers at embarkation whenever we can. In a Royal Suite, our butler would get a vase and arrange the flowers beautifully. In a PH, the flowers are whisked away to the ship's florist and arranged. Then mid-cruise, they would be refreshed by the florist.
Adidas4fun Posted April 23, 2016 #7 Share Posted April 23, 2016 so currently it appears all suites are being offered the premium drinks, but not the speciality dining. Incorrect, with RS & PH it is included in your cabin fare, for other suites you have to pay extra

We upgraded to a Sky Suite and got the premium bev. pkg. as well as gratuities, OBC and unlimited internet. Since we have Luminae, we don't need to go to the specialty restaurants. Since we have Luminae, we don't need to go to the specialty restaurants. Celebrity is running a promo on suite bookings right now that includes the 4 perks....premium bvg package, gratuities, $300 OBC and unlimited internet for the 1st two guests in a cabin. As of now the promo is running till May 1st and is good on sailings till May 2017. I have looked at cruises for next summer and this is not offered so far for sailings starting June 2017 and beyond. Maybe they'll keep it as a permanent perk?

I was happy with my cruise and the last one was 4 years ago i believe so it's possible that things have changed since then. Things have changed! The introduction of Michael's Club, Luminae, dining packages, in suite bar set up..have made cruising for us much more pleasurable. This has come at a time in our cruising life when the on ship experience is as important as the destinations.... You are right to query suite types...we do love the greater space of RS and PH, we do like the in suite bar set up, even with Luminae we still love the speciality dining venues...It is all about what is important for you... If you are happy with a sky suite, can get a premium drinks package as a perk, want to mainly dine in Luminae why spend more? At the Elite cocktail evenings, we still visit a couple of times each cruise, we chat with people who 'always book verandas...always book ocean view...always book aqua...' There is no 'best room/suite'on a ship, only the one that best meets what you want from a cruise!

Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted April 24, 2016 #12 Share Posted April 24, 2016 the same promo that got you that (OBC,grat, int, bevpkg) is open to everyone, not just suites only. It comes "free" with suites (i.e. it is the posted fare on the main page for that cruise). For other cabins you have to bump up to the "Best" fare. ClaudiaB Posted April 24, 2016 #16 Share Posted April 24, 2016 We like the bigger room, the space - as we *do* hang out in our room perhaps more than some who merely sleep and shower in theirs. We likely will never sail in RS or PH but we have been in a CS (once) and now just book S1s. Enough space, we don't need cocktails in our room (just not what we do) and we have the same restaurant and Michael's and elite cocktail hour so that's fine with us. We also travel alone so have no need of a bigger gathering spot like the upper suites, and we don't feel like we need all that space for just us two. xmarksx Posted April 24, 2016 #17 Share Posted April 24, 2016 Signature suites on Reflection also offer most of the amenities as Royal and PH suites. Rare Host Jazzbeau Posted April 24, 2016 #19 Share Posted April 24, 2016 (edited) If the attachment is too small to read, here are the subtitles: "Suites are BEST with Celebrity. For a limited time only, get all 4 perks for the price of 1 ... go!best ... Get all 4 (Premium Beverage Pkg for 2; $150 pp to spend onboard; Prepaid Tips for 2; Unlimited Interest for 2) ... [emoji4] I guess that's one of the advantages of booking a future cruise onboard, they extend perk promos. Online they only offer it for sailings June 2016 through May 2017. Anything after that, they offer the Go Big, Better, Best.
Rare NanaChar Posted April 24, 2016 #23 Share Posted April 24, 2016 With Royal and Penthouse, you receive two bottles of spirits. Does that get replaced if you empty the bottle? Has anyone been in the Royal Suite since the refurbishment? I'd love to hear a review. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Project_gal Posted April 25, 2016 #24 Share Posted April 25, 2016 With Royal and Penthouse, you receive two bottles of spirits. Does that get replaced if you empty the bottle? Officially, no. No, we have never managed to either! I am sure on longer cruises there would not be a problem. We once did 2 X 5 day b2b in the PH on Millie, we got off the ship with 3 full bottles of spirit and half of the other!
