austincici Posted October 23, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Can anyone familiar with Regal Princess tell me if the changing rooms by the fitness center have showers? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
satxdiver Posted October 23, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2016 I was on the Regal in January and the answer is no showers :(
MJSailors Posted October 23, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 23, 2016 On the Regal, the fitness center and the spa with showers etc are on different decks. I think if one wants to use showers, saunas etc ,there is a fee for use of those located in the Enclave.
brian1 Posted October 23, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Hi,Ive never seen changing rooms without showers before and there are definately changing rooms on deck plans. If there are none this would be another pennypinching exercise from Princess. There are some strange designs.on the Coral, the gym is at one end and the changing rooms and sauna at another end with all the spa rooms inbetween. The only toilets on the whole floor are marked "spa customers only",which I ignored as I wasnt going all the way back to my cabin just to have a wee.Good luck anyway, cheers,Brian. dmwnc1959 Posted October 23, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2016 There was no steam room or sauna there, but the Fitness Center on Royal Princess most certainly had SHOWERS - two of them in fact: one regular sized and one that was h/c accessible. I haven't been on Regal Princess but I'm positive that in this one aspect it's safe to say there are SHOWERS in the Fitness Center on both ships of this class. These were the showers in the Fitness Center aboard Royal Princess:
IECalCruiser Posted October 23, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Princess deleted the usual steam rooms and saunas in the fitness center on the Royal and Regal. The changing rooms were supposed to have "steam showers" but reports stated that they were only showers. Sent from my iPad using Forums

dmwnc1959 Posted October 23, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Dave to the rescue again, even though he isn't cruising for a while. Thanks Dave! Hi Brian! I help when I can, and when the info isn't "outdated". It's why I've refrained from interjecting as often as I used to. ;) :D
sunsetbeachgal Posted October 23, 2016 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2016 I board the Regal on Thursday and since I should be using the fitness center, will verify that there are showers. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

sunsetbeachgal Posted October 23, 2016 #11 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Haha! This itinerary has six sea days out of nine full days, so no excuse for me not to visit the fitness center! Good to hear from you, actually it is YOU who is the one to the rescue! ;)
austincici Posted October 23, 2016 Author #12 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Thank y'all sooo much! I can't believe how hard it's been to get this info! We are 4 in a cabin. Me, my 83 year old mom, brother and sister-in-law in a mini-suite. I'm hoping to go shower elsewhere to free up some space during peak shower time. Thanks again for the help--exactly what I was looking for! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
treasurer Posted October 23, 2016 #13 Share Posted October 23, 2016 Yes. I seem to remember going into the ladies room and there is another door in the back. It goes into a small changinging room with 2 showers and some towels and hairdryers. I would guess the men's room has the same layout.

sunsetbeachgal Posted November 6, 2016 #20 Share Posted November 6, 2016 (edited) Just off the Regal and there are definitely two showers in the fitness center locker room area. One is accessible with frosted glass and the other is smaller but has a clear glass shower door. sunsetbeachgal Posted November 8, 2016 #23 Share Posted November 8, 2016 (edited) Wait. So everyone can see? Sent from my iPhone using Forums Yes! Not sure what they were thinking making only one of the showers with the frosted etched glass door and the other with a clear glass door! I prefer not to use accessible facilities, leaving it open for those who need it, unless it is the only option available (as in the case of toilets) but in this case if I were taking a shower I would probably opt to use the accessible one for privacy.
