We are sailing on the Ruby Princess Feb 25th. We will be on the ship for Fat Tuesday. Do they do anything special - Mardi gras party etc. Looking forward to the cruise and celebration - Let the Good times Roll!

There was a themed event when we were on board a Princess cruise. A few passengers brought masks. There was dixieland jazz music. It will be up to the cruise staff to have or not to have a themed party.

The entertainment email from the cruise director I received 3 days ago for our 2/5 Regal cruise says the following:

"Plus, we're hosting onboard festivals that originate from every corner of the globe!"

As New Orleans has been having Mardi Gras parades since the first week of January, I would hope my sailing, and especially yours, will have at least a nod toward this festival too!

They usually have mask making during the afternoon proceeding the main party held in the Piazza with dancing. The had beignets served one year and of course a line dance at the end.

Oh I hope they have beignets! sweet Lord they are delicious! I cannot wait!
