Qsine?

Personally having done Qsine as a couple and with a group I think it is as good or better as a couple. Sure you miss out on some dishes (the presentations are creative/fun), but most of the dishes are small plates and are cumbersome for sharing with more than a couple - a couple courses even awkward for sharing other than for a couple. If you love it and want to try more dishes you can always book a second meal there.

We have done both a group and just the 2 of us. The group was more fun and we got to try more things. When we did it for 2, the servings were not smaller so way to much of what we ordered.

We have read that they are scaling down the serving sizes when there are just 2 people so we will try again but given an option would prefer to go with 4-6 others.

How do you order for Qsine? It will just be the 2 of us on our cruise, I read the fun is sharing the food you order with your table mates. Would we enjoy ourselves with just 2?

Hard to say, not knowing you or how gregarious you are.

Do you usually like to share a large table, or do you prefer having a quiet dinner for just the 2 of you?

We usually prefer a table for just the 2 of us, because the service is much more personalized that way. We like to explore different foods, so we order very small servings of lots of different things.

If you discover something new that you really like, you can always ask for more of it.

On the other hand, when we went with a group, we enjoyed that too.

We eat about the same variety and amount of food either way. The key is to be selective about what you eat, not fill up on anything you don't really like just because it is there in front of you.

You need to be specific and detailed in ordering. Ask your waiters questions about portion size and accompaniments that come with each dish, and they will customize the dishes for you.

Of course that is more reasonable to do for a table with 2 people than for a table of 8 or 10.

Gonzo makes a good point about some of the dishes being awkward for sharing with a large group.

Qsine for 2?

We enjoyed it with just the two of us. The server asked if they should cut down on the size and we said yes. You can also tell them to stop bringing food. We both chose 8 selections we liked on our own Ipad.. Then we whittled it down to four by comparing our choices by deleting and adding. It was fun.

We have only been once and it was just the two of us. The only thing we ordered that intimidated us was the meatball trio. We expected small balls and what came out were giant! I have pics posted of Qsine food from our Silhouette cruise on a recent review. Highly recommend the filet!

Based on our experience, a lot depends on your particular waiter. When we arrived we got the Ipads and we made our selections. The waiter then served us what he felt was good. At one point I asked what happened to one selection I had chosen. It took some time but it finally appeared. We missed trying a few things because it was not what the waiter chose to serve us.

The food was good. Yes the filets were wonderful. It is doubtful that we would try Quisine again based on our experience that one time.

We have been 4 times, twice ourselves and twice with a group from our Roll Call.

Here's my take on it. When you're just two, you do have to be sure you specifically request what you want. There are "set" servings but if you say you want ONE meatball then you won't get the 3 giant ones to split.

Same with the spring rolls. A serving is two. They will typically bring you EACH two. We always ask for ONE to share between us.

Don't waste your time on things like sliders, fish and chips, the things that are really ordinary and empty carbs.

If you do it right you can order about 6 or 7 things between the two of you if you get smaller portions. The filet is really good. It's just about a 2 oz. piece with itty bitty shot glass sized accompaniments.

We like the lava crab.
