Reciprocity of NCL Latitudes Rewards program with Oceania and Regent Seven Seas

Recommended Posts

Since the elite status reciprocity has been used with Royal Caribbean Cruises Lines subsidiaries Azamara Club Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, and Royal Caribbean International, will Norwegian ever offer it on Oceania and Regent Seven Seas? I believe Carnival has a similar but limited reciprocity within its own cruises. My understanding is that Elite status reciprocity simply means that if you are elite with a cruise line owned by a parent company, another cruise line owned by the same company, will honor your elite status. My other question -- will NCL, RCCL and Carnival ever support elite status reciprocity from one cruise line to another? For example, would RCCL grant a new passenger to RCCL an equivalent status from NCL Latitudes Tiers and vice versa?

Thanks to postings on cruise critic I found out that my Platinum status with NCL gave me top tier status with MSC. I had booked a cruise with them and got 10% discount plus other perks. Their top tier is Black and that's what I got because I sent proof that I was platinum with NCL.

I think you meant 5%. NCL's Platinum status does offer more perks than MSC Black - but the 5% off is a nice benefit especially if you're booking the YC.

Was about to ask this and found this old thread. Has this changed?

We have a Regent number.

And an NCL number.

Do we need to combine them or link them in some way or has NCL got these lines and loyalty siloed?

TY

Interesting as all three are under the NCLH

RCCL and Celebrity still have cross loyalty and Celebrity and Azamara used to cross loyalty until Azamara was sold off

Which was why I wondered

TY for responding

You can get loyalty matched on MSC. They matched our platinum status without issue.

ppcox, im sorry, but your response is irrelevant. the op asked if NCL has reciprocity. it does not.

while msc or any other cruise line may match, NCL does not. if you sail with msc, and have reached a certain point level, those points will not carry over or be credited to you on  any ncl cruise.

thank you for this most relevant suggestion!

indeed, NCLH does not status match among its brands. if someone were disappointed by that, and was still interested in sailing with a cruise line other than NCL, they can take comfort in knowing that other cruise lines, including MSC, do provide a status match.

AFAIK MSC is the only cruise line that provides a loyalty benefit based on your status level with cruise lines that are part of other cruise line holding companies, so it's not other cruise lines that provide a status match.

I'd be reluctant to call what MSC does a "status match" as the arbitrarily assigned MSC loyalty level may not have benefits that look anything like the benefits you receive from the cruise line you are coming from.

virgin voyages was offering a status match through the end of 2024, but has recently - and abruptly -  ended the program.

many cruise lines' casino loyalty programs continue to offer casino status match.

ok, uk stages, where can i find the different benefits that MSc matches to ncl latitude status. By the way, we're diamond

There is a form on MSC website to complete and they will calculate your equivalent status. We were credited 4000 points and Gold before we sailed. You need 10,000 for the top level.
Gold gave us some discounts which I don’t remember in detail but there was a free hour in the spa and priority tendering.

I know I'm not @UKstages. I don't have such knowledge of Broadway, though I think we share a fondness for Hell's Kitchen. I could be mistaken though. I'm also not as witty.

Anyway, take a look at this article from The Points Guy regarding MSC's status match. There's a link to a chart (that could be outdated, or could be real) that'll help determine the benefits you receive based on your NCL (or other) status.

https://thepointsguy.com/guide/status-match-msc-cruises/

*I know many do not consider The Points Guy to be a valid source of information, but since my favorite podcast (and radio show), Marketplace, talks with (and quotes from) The Points Guy, I consider it valid.

cruise ny4life. you know 9x's out ot 10, i respect your opinion ,and your expertise as a travel agent.

however, the o p wanted to know if ncl shared points with other cruise lines,(which everyone here agrees they do not) i dont think he really cared as to whether or not other lines did so. by the way, i tried checking into the website you quoted, and it wouldnt let me fill in some or the required info, which is too bad, as ive always wanted to see what the hullabaloo was about the yacht club

Oh, but I was answering your question so you could see what MSC would provide based on your NCL status. Here's a screenshot of what MSC provides, and yes, I agree NCL does not have any reciprocity/matches/etc. with anyone, but NCL.

Also, I'm glad you weren't able to fill out all the information. The status match with MSC is only good for three years, so if you don't sail with them, you lose it. Be sure you have a booking ready to go before trying to match the status.

nycruise4life.

as always, thank you for the information. i do note, however, that the list you sent, does not include sapphire or diamond status, and doesnt really tell you what you get for the different point levels

also on the form, it would not allow me to put   in the state and one other thing. since im very happy and have very minimal complaints about ncl  (ie. the falling apart hamburger buns) in the last 14 years and 25 cruises

in my  opinion,  and my opinion only, msc doesnt come close to ncl in it's itineraries, or prices. so until i end up in a box, i   guess i'll continue to sail ncl, and hopefully the 2 of you will someday be on the same cruise as my wife and i
