Taishartrueblood Posted April 23, 2017 #1 Share Posted April 23, 2017 I am going to go to both of the RCL restaurants on my ship anyway, but I am curious if anyone has tried Disney's Palo/Remy (which is fantastic, Michelin star IMO). Thanks!
seabeew Posted April 23, 2017 #2 Share Posted April 23, 2017 In my opinion Chops and Giovanni's are very good to excellent for what they are, a steakhouse aspiring to be Morton's or an upscale Italian restaurant (no lasagna, etc). Palo and Remy are exceptional by any standards. The Royal Caribbean restaurants and the Disney restaurants are entirely different concepts but all are enjoyable for what they are. andrew2346 Posted April 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted April 23, 2017 I would say nothing compares to Remy and the Chefs table compares to Palo.
spookwife Posted April 23, 2017 #5 Share Posted April 23, 2017 No comparison. This is one place where Disney beats out Royal for us. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Kaydee1917 Posted April 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted April 23, 2017 I agree with Spookwife, they cannot compete with Remy and Palo
Rare LisaLisa87 Posted April 24, 2017 #7 Share Posted April 24, 2017 IMO, Remy far exceeds Chops and Giovanni's, but both Chops and Giovanni's are comparable to Palo (for dinner). To me, one of the big advantages of the specialty restaurants on RCCL is that they allow kids. Our DD is 13 and has loved going to the specialty restaurants on RCCL. Taishartrueblood Posted April 24, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted April 24, 2017 Sad to hear, I am a foodie :p That said, it sounds like the Chef's Table would be interesting. I am going to look to see if Adventure of the Seas has one. Thanks all!
xcell Posted April 24, 2017 #9 Share Posted April 24, 2017 I think Remy would be better than Chops. To be honest, never tried Remy but I have tried Ncl cagney and that was much better than my chops experience. texasgirl73 Posted April 24, 2017 #10 Share Posted April 24, 2017 I enjoyed Chops and Giovannis but yeah Remy and Palo are superior in terms of service, decor, and food. Sorry. But that doesn't mean you won't enjoy the RCCL restaurants. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

I am going to look to see if Adventure of the Seas has one. Thanks all! Adventure has a chef's table. It's $85 pp. I was just on the Adventure and it has the best Chops I've eaten at. Chops was just added to this ship and it has an unique menu. Supposedly they are using a higher grade of beef. Try the lamb chops, upcharge lobster lobster, bone in ribeye, or large fillet.
