Kathie13 Posted May 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2017 How long do you have to transfer to a TA? If 60 days, like RCCL, and it would be after final payment, would that make a difference? Lastly, if we do transfer to TA, would I still be considered by NCL to receive an email to bid on another cabin? Thanks Kathie Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Rare shof515 Posted May 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2017 Here is a link to NCL page that has answer to some of the questions you might have: https://www.ncl.com/freestyle-cruise/guest-reservation-transfer-faq since your TA has your booking, any bidding/upgrading will have be done thru the TA

Hannibal Smith Posted May 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2017 I transferred my reservation to a TA recently, and just made it under the deadline: you can transfer by 60 days after your reservation/confirmation is made OR the date of your final payment, whichever is FIRST. tmilak Posted May 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2017 Here's how I work it with use of the cruise next certs. Book 4 cruises onboard using the Cruise Next program and get $500 OBC. Doesn't matter as you are allowed one change without penalty. When you get back transfer them to a TA to get more OBC from your TA or other goodies such as free gratuities etc,. I have been doing this when booking Suites or the Haven and wind up with almost $1000 OBC every time I cruise and use that to buy more OBC , cameras, Jewelry and watches or free shore excursions and cabanas or for gambling in the casino. Just using their OBC to get me more freebies. Haven''t walked of the ship with a bill on my last 3 cruises.

If your TA hasn't opted out, you can receive the opportunity to place a bid for upgrades. Your TA doesn't get involved in the bidding process at all. Casino Comp Chick Posted May 10, 2017 #9 Share Posted May 10, 2017 There are a few travel agencies that opted out of the bid upsell program so make sure you know if the agency accepts bids. Also group cruises do not receive bids.
