Cost of a soda?

If it is just soda you want then I would get the soda package either now or as soon as you board. Better value than buying one every time. If you have the UBP then it doesn't matter.

What's the cost of a soda (coke, pop) onboard an NCL ship?

Check the kids arcade area for a vending machine as it will be cheaper an no grat added.

We were on POA in Jan but wasn't looking to see if they had a machine, but having been on that ship a few times my gut tells me they do.

Most currently priced at $2.95 + 18%. Usually in a 12 oz. glass w ice unless it's from the mini-bar.

.

When I have to PAY more than $3 for my soda, then I always ask for canned soda and NOT the fountain soda that is included in the drink packages. And in my experience any bar on board also have soda in cans in addition to the fountain soda. I have never been denied soda in a can instead of the fountain soda, they just check on my ship card first, to make certain I don't have a drinking package before they give it to me....

We booked a cruise with the current offers. We have the UBP but, I have a question. My husband does not drink alcohol but, does enjoy a soda from time to time. Can he use his UBP for soda?

In years past, whenever we ordered soda and that's usually in the MDR or specialty, the server bring our cans of soda and glasses with ice - without asking upon handing her/him one of our keycard. We don't drink enough sweets to warrant the package - anyway, the sticker would've indicated that, no ?

I have no idea if they even stock canned ones in the MDR and don't want to send them all the way to the nearest bar to get it. Unless I ask for a refill (and, they don't charge us for another glass) - it's getting a 8 oz beverage with ice in a highball glass, not even a tall 16 oz. highball glass for $3 + change. Granted this isn't a big deal nowadays, we can wait ... head over to the casino bar & just tip the server for a glass or two of soda or bottled water with the "other" cards.

Thanks for the information everyone. We aren't big soda drinkers so the ubp doesn't make sense for us. I just wanted to get an idea how many you'd have to drink to break even. Two or more a day would make it worthwhile. Good to know.
