Does Carnival HUB app show current location of ship?

Was wondering if the app shows you the current ship location at any given time on your connected wifi device (phone).

well, the HUB app is not the internet, so no on the HUB app, but yes on your iPhone or any smartphone with a GPS app.

coevan, I know the HUB app isn't the internet but it uses the ship's internet to perform other HUB app functions (chat, menus, activities, etc.). I was wondering if there was a HUB app screen that shows the ship position. If you're an inside cabin it would be nice to be able to see your location (without a GPS signal).

No. Or at least it didn't last week on the Breeze. You can see it on the t.v. in your cabin, though.

Oh, if you can see position on the TV in the cabin, then that's great!

Somewhere on the ship there'll be a monitor with the ship's position.

On the Fantasy Class I've seen it at the coffee bar. On the Miracle I've seen it just off the Atrium, before you hit the Casino.

No....but as above it is displayed on one of the TV channels along with camera views from outside the ship.

not on the vista class ships or at least i was never able to find it when i was on the vista. The only TV that had the ship map was in my cabin.

 

 

in all of my previous carnival cruises, the ship map TV was usually somewhere along the promenade area like by the casino or the coffee shop

Hmmm. So it sounds like that could definitely be an enhancement of the app... to always show the position of the ship.
