PoohUnderstands Posted August 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Am looking into this itinerary for the first time and am alittle overwhelmed. Any and all information on itinerary would be appreciated. Am looking for the "best" itinerary amongst the three lines listed above. Any and all opinions would be greatly appreciated. Also looking to go the first half of October when I do go. Is that a good time? Pooh

SailBadtheSinner Posted August 20, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2017 How many nights on the cruise? Up to 7 or more than 7. Are there any ports that are a must see? What is your preferred departure port? SBtS

easyboy Posted August 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2017 Also looking to go the first half of October when I do go. Is that a good time? Pooh The last time we went to Canada/NE on the Regal Princess was on the 2nd week of October last year. First half of October is also ideal for the fall foliage. But the ports are nice too. We travel yearly the Canada/NE cruise on the 2nd week of Oct. as we just drive to the port from home. Pooh It really depends on these things: 1.) the port you wanted to departure from (NYC/Boston) 2.) the ports you wanted to see on the cruise trip (Halifax, Quebec City, etc) 3.) the cost of the cruise as well as if there are any promotions 4.) ship activities / pool size 5.) dining options

maryann ns Posted September 11, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 11, 2017 Take a close look at time in port. Some ships cut this much shorter than others. I notice in Halifax the HAL ships often arrive latest and leave earliest.

While reading your posts from 8/20 to present, there was a post on 9/5 where you wrote you booked a Princess cruise for October, 2018. Is this correct, and you're no longer looking for the cruise above?? SBtS
