alsa Posted September 30, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2017 :confused:We have the choice of both these ships and can't decide - anyone got any views/opinions? Anyone been on both? Thank you 😊
Bizzie07 Posted September 30, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Go with the one that has the best itinerary . Navigator is just a smaller version of Indi.
yuvraj Posted September 30, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2017 I have been on both, multiple times. Indy seems to be more popular with young families but I prefer Navigator. Not a lot to differentiate the 2 IMO and I would suggest that you compare prices when choosing.
wales4ever Posted September 30, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Just came off the Navigator yesterday. We had second dining and found nowhere to listen to any live music before dinner. Well apart from Bolero lounge which had live music from 7.45 untill 8.30.....great - until you find that it only seats around 50 and that the ship holds 3200.... Big lounge upstairs, star lounge on deck 5, fine if you want a quiz or to stare at the walls. Maybe it due to staff and cost cuts.
nelly55 Posted September 30, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 30, 2017 If itinerary and price are similar we would choose Indy, Navigator does not have the cantilevered hot tubs which we love, we also like having both Sorrentos and Café Promenade in separate areas, Nav has both combined in one venue so overall less choice. Thorben-Hendrik Posted September 30, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 30, 2017 We like the Solarium on Indy a bit better....but they are very much the same...
Clarea Posted September 30, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Self-serve soda dispensers in Windjammer on Navigator.

Ocean Boy Posted September 30, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 30, 2017 I've been on both several times. I don't think there is enough of a difference in the two ships to really matter. I'd choose by itinerary and price. If they were both equal then I'd probably go with Indy.... I think.
RARcruise Posted September 30, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Self-serve soda dispensers in Windjammer on Navigator. The normal soda dispensers or the freestyle type? If it is the normal dispenser is it open 24/7? I am trying to decide if I want to allow my preteen/teen kids the soda package and not sure they would really get their money's worth if they have to go up to ask for a drink each time. Normal soda dispener, only open when Windjammer is open.
iahawkfan21 Posted September 30, 2017 #12 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Have been on both, and are doing a B2B on Navigator in November. Indy is slightly larger and some of the differences have been noted. We also love the hot tubs on Freedom class. As mentioned, for me it would come down the price and itinerary. We're doing Navigator this year because we really wanted to do the ABCs and none of the Freedom class ships got us there. You really can't go wrong with either IMO. Grandma Dazzles Posted September 30, 2017 #13 Share Posted September 30, 2017 Ihave sailed both within the last couple of years. Would go with the best itinerary and price. The ships themselves are very similar. Would go on the Independence if having the H2O zone for kids was important to you. Navigator does not have. molsonschooner Posted September 30, 2017 #14 Share Posted September 30, 2017 When would you be cruising. Indy has dry dock coming up soon and will be adding some new things. A trampoline park is one thing that is being installed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
