Just got off the Liberty after a 3 day cruise. The ship and staff were great. The bartenders in the Alchemy bar are the best! Donkey, the cruise director and his staff are a lot of fun. Go and enjoy!

We've done a 4 day and it was fine. Would prefer to do longer cruises, but a short cruise is better than no cruise!

I've done a 4-day cruise twice (NCL Sky) and a 5-day cruise once (on the Inspiration). Had a fantastic time on all of them, and even with the all-inclusive package on the Sky, it was NOT a booze cruise. No stumbling drunks, nothing out of control, just cruisers having a great time with the time they have on the ship. :)

Just booked a 3 day for the second part of our vacation. We are doing 4 days at Disney and 3 days on a cruise after. I would normally not book a 3 day cruise since we have to fly to port and the airfare alone wouldnt make the price worth it. Since we are already there for Disney we are going to attempt to unwind from the craziness of the mouse! Although it seems short, I'd rather do a short cruise than no cruise!!!

We did a 3-day Bahamas cruise in Dec 2017. We had a blast! It was my wife's first cruise, so this was to test the waters to see if she would like it.

 

Would it have better if longer? Sure! That's why afterwards we immediately booked an 8-day cruise for the same time (roughly) the next year!

 

But I'm also going on a 4-day in March - with my wife again, but also this time with another first-time cruiser: my Mom. 4 days should be enough to feel like we had a good time, but not so long in case Mom gets stir-crazy. It also happens that we don't have time for much longer than 4 days, especially on the days scheduled for each cruise (e.g. a Sat to Thurs or Mon-Sat cruise would be nice, but doesn't seem to exist out of our preferred Port [Canaveral], at least).

I really enjoy the short 3 or 4 day cruises out of Long Beach. They fit well between the times I really need to be at work. I am not content to stand in line so I indulge in Faster to the Fun or other priority boarding such as a suite or casino cruise. My last cruise I was in my cabin an hour after leaving the house, and finished with Guy's before the muster drill. I pay close attention to the drill. You can always learn something to increase your safety awareness.

 

Then it is my time until after breakfast in Long Beach.

 

I enjoy the dining room food, and conversation with fellow passengers. I really don't notice any disconcerting behavior from those who imbibe. Evenings are filled with a show and soaking in the hot tub on Serenity deck. Late night is in the casino where you can't win but everyone is enjoying themselves. I could live without the smoke, but it is not that bad compared with what I endured in the '60's.

 

I just enjoy sitting outside being on the water and watching the California coast go by.

 

Carnival delivers the service I want, and value for the money.

I couldn't say it better - My wife and I really enjoy the 3 day cruises out of Long Beach also - we live in Vegas.

 

So it's a great get-away to see the ocean for a long weekend and we can do it for under $1,000 all-in

 

The people we've met on-board are surprisingly affluent and well-educated.

 

On our last cruise, the art auction sold over $70,000 in pieces. More than we've seen on much longer Princess cruises.

I've done maybe a dozen 3-day cruises. I love them. I don't drink, don't dance, don't whoop it up very much, but the 3-day booze cruise is the perfect opportunity to get away, gamble a little bit, and just unwind. They are VERY worth it to me and my husband.

 

My last cruise was a 3-day on NCL (5th anniversary) and my next one will be a 3-day on Carnival (first time taking the kids on a cruise -- they're 8 and 6). Although I obviously wish it was longer, it was a perfect little escape, and really about the amount of time we had available.

 

Not everyone has a job that allows them to take a full week off from work. It's much easier to get away for a long weekend to unwind.

 

We don't really drink, so it wasn't a booze cruise for us. But it sure beats staying home!

Once. It was to celebrate all of my friends and my 40th birthdays, and it was exactly what we expected it to be. Like others have said, kind of like going to Vegas. We had a great time, but it was one big party - again- whole reason why we booked it. Would I do it again? Let's just say that for our 50ths, we're planning something a bit more....subdued. Haha.
