Rare Jamman54 Posted November 19, 2017 Author #476 Share Posted November 19, 2017 My plan was to head up to the Red Frog Rum Bar and hang out with my buds until I could be served. Patti was going to make a quick stop at our cabin before heading back upstairs and eventually meeting me…… Jay has given us our first towel creature of this cruise….. Patti photographs the empty Lido Marketplace. In no time at all this place will be packed!! To be continued…..

navybaby1113 Posted November 19, 2017 #480 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Are those skinny french fries I see in the Guy's Burger pic? I miss the fries Carnival used to have.
Rare Essiesmom Posted November 19, 2017 #481 Share Posted November 19, 2017 They aren't skinny fries. They are good but gave me the runs the second time I had them, so no more for me. EM
Crusin Karen Posted November 19, 2017 #482 Share Posted November 19, 2017 Are those skinny french fries I see in the Guy's Burger pic? I miss the fries Carnival used to have. They are potato sticks. Available at the Fixins' Station. There was a discussion on here quite a while ago about them. A lot of people have never seen/heard of them and a lot have them in stores and grew up on them like me! I am not a fan of Guy's seasoned fries but have been told you can order plain. Jamman, I am crushed that Patti did not order a Caribbean Colada to celebrate the start of the new cruise!:confused:;p

Patti drank quite a few Caribbean Coladas during our cruises, but she also liked the mango drink.

Rare Jamman54 Posted November 19, 2017 Author #489 Share Posted November 19, 2017 At some point we both made our way back to the cabin to escape the crowds up on the Lido Deck. We had been sent some bon voyage gifts in honor of our B2B from the Hotel Director Donato…… Soon it was time for the muster drill, and yes, you still need to attend even if you are on a B2B. This time we were allowed to descend to the Southern Lights Dining Room via the crew stairs which were right outside our door. Once the muster drill was over we went back to our cabin to watch us sail away from our balcony. Over yonder, the passengers on the Disney Fantasy are doing their muster drill….. We have pulled away from the pier and are sailing again! To be continued…….

Rare Jamman54 Posted November 19, 2017 Author #496 Share Posted November 19, 2017 That’s me on the balcony enjoying our sail away…… The Disney Fantasy will be following us out….. The Magic is heading towards the channel, and then out into the Atlantic Ocean….. Since we covered the sail away pretty extensively last week, I’ll just be touching on the highlights. Here is the Observation Tower…… We are sailing past Milliken’s Reef and Rusty’s Seafood and Oyster Bar….. To be continued…..

Rare Jamman54 Posted November 20, 2017 Author #499 Share Posted November 20, 2017 We have left Port Canaveral behind….. Since we have the couple’s spa pass again, Patti decides to go up there and read. I elect to remain in the cabin and watch the Yankees / Astros game. Once again we have Late Seating Dinner in the Southern Lights Dining Room. As requested, we changed our table from last week. This week we are at table # 608 which is right across the dining room from last week's table # 607…… Our servers this week are Alvaro, Pablo, and Singh. These guys were absolutely fantastic all week! On this week’s cruise you will see less food porn. We will only show you menu items if we did not have them last week. Here are tonight’s menus….. For dinner tonight we had almost the same dinner that we had last week. Patti had the quesadilla, tomato soup, Caesar’s salad, and the sweet & sour shrimp. I had two orders of shrimp cocktail, corn chowder, sweet & sour shrimp, and one new thing, which was the pork chop….. For dessert Patti had butter pecan ice cream and I had a banana split. Afterwards, we took our customary walk around the ship and then back to the cabin for the night. Coming up next: Another Fun Day at Sea!!!
beshears Posted November 20, 2017 #500 Share Posted November 20, 2017 Thanks for letting me know Belize is the only place where you stop, and have to do a tender. I was thinking that the two formal nights would be on the two sea days, but with our itinerary, the second sea day was on Friday, and I don't think that would work, with everyone getting their luggage out, etc. Can you tell me when the 2nd sea day was, or at what port? The pictures of the bread, "reminded" me of the different kind of breads they serve, and I normally don't eat bread, but I found some "favorites" there.:)
