rpmljm Posted November 24, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Does anyone know what the condition of these two islands is since the hurricane damage? We are scheduled to be going to both in March. Do you think they will both be up and running? Thanks!

Rbullenut Posted November 24, 2017 #4 Share Posted November 24, 2017 I have a good friend in the St Thomas tourism wedding business. Recovery is steady but slow. They depend so much on visitors and not having any has hurt small business.

Curious what kind of excursions are being offered there. I thought I read than Magen's Bay had just reopened.

Bobal Posted November 24, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 24, 2017 I believe Royal is going back to St. Thomas within the next week or so. We are currently on Jewel and visited St Thomas on Monday, first stop.after our departure from San Juan. The island had suffered a lot of devastation but they are really glad to have visitors back and have such a poditive attitude about rebuilding

I thought I read than Magen's Bay had just reopened. Our itinerary changed but Royal kept St Thomas. Going to Martinique instead of St Kitts....which is cool as I've never been there. We also switched over to Antigua instead of St Maarten. I believe we originally had San Juan on the schedule at some point?? Didn't book any Royal excursions. Just a "wait and see" when we get on the ship. Have a fantastic Christmas Bob!! Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk

Beachammo Posted November 24, 2017 #13 Share Posted November 24, 2017 Thanks....I thought St. Kitts was OK. That is also one of our ports. Why did they change you to Martinique?Too many ships in St Kitts at the same time. We were scheduled to tender as there was no room on the dock. I know Freedom will be there. Not sure who else. I like St Kitts.....but I was glad we switched. I don't believe any other Royal ship is scheduled to do Martinique??? Sure someone will let me know??
