Nicci1 Posted January 22, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2018 (edited) Does HAL sell transfers from the airport to the cruise ship in Venice, and also from Civitavecchia to the Rome airport? These places aren’t named in the Transfer section of their catalogue. Does anyone know what they cost? Edited January 22, 2018 by Nicci1 sp. 1ANGELCAT Posted January 22, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2018 I can’t answer about Venice. The transfer from the ship to Rome airport is $69.00 per person. Sent from my iPad using Forums
sundkist Posted January 22, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2018 We are paying $69.00 each from Civitavecchia to Rome airport.
Rare kazu Posted January 22, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2018 My experience with both has been that it is much faster, more convenient and economical to do a private transfer for both. especially if you can fine someone to share with on your roll call. the price for Venice the last time we went was around $70 pp if I recall correctly. For that price, we could do a water taxi (and we did ;) ) which is a great way to get to the ship. :)
Alberta Quilter Posted January 23, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2018 In case you're Canadian, the ship to FCO airport transfer costs C$89.70. It was less expensive than the private transfer quote I got.
springtx249 Posted January 23, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 23, 2018 I booked a trip from the Cvit to rome airport for $58 total thru Costco.
Rare *Miss G* Posted January 23, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 23, 2018 I wish we had done a water taxi from the airport in Venice! We just walked outside and jumped in a regular taxi.
bleacher04 Posted January 23, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 23, 2018 We took a water taxi from the airport to our hotel, and later from the hotel to the cruise terminal. It's not cheap -- I want to say about 75 euros (for 4 people) each way -- but it's a great experience and worth every penny (or euro) IMO.
Rare Hlitner Posted January 23, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2018 In Venice you can simply walk out of the terminal and hire a regular land taxi who will take you to the port for less than 50€ (total cost per taxi). We agree with the other poster that a private transfer (we love Romecabs.com) might make more sense from Civitavecchia to FCO. If you share a transfer with 1 or 2 other couples (you can usually find folks on the CC Roll Call) the cost will be less than HAL transfer and more convenient/comfortable. wales4ever Posted January 23, 2018 #11 Share Posted January 23, 2018 1 Bus from airport to Venice about €5. Get tickets from machine at luggage carousel. 2 Walk 200 yards from bus terminal to people mover - ticket €1.50. 3 Get off at cruise terminal where porters will take your luggage from you. Simple and easy
propwash Posted January 23, 2018 #12 Share Posted January 23, 2018 I booked a trip from the Cvit to rome airport for $58 total thru Costco. Does the transfer go both ways? I see only from Cvit to FCO airport.
