138east Posted March 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 7, 2018 we are cruising ( NCL) out of nyc in june and wondering if they have a de-embarkation shuttle service back to JFK standing by? I've never seen any kind of shuttle service from the Manhattan Cruiseport to JFK, LGA, or EWR ever discussed on this board. Port Authority Bus Terminal (8th Ave between 40th and 42nd St) is relatively close by and offers bus service to all three airports frequently throughout the day. 1025cruise Posted March 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 7, 2018 I believe that the cruise line will offer airport transfers. Best to check direct with NCL.
Rare Noxequifans Posted March 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2018 If the NCL shuttle (if offered) is over your budget check out car service ... Carmel or Dial 7. Keep in mind the price of the shuttle offered by the cruise line is per person vs. per car for the car service.

Rare mking8288 Posted March 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2018 For upcoming NCL cruises, like the ones this April (2018) - shared airport transfer (motor coaches or buses to LGA or JFK, not always for EWR) from NCL is available, but not on a standby basis - reserve ahead or onboard the ship, option to cancel free - up to the deadline, for $40 p/p one-way. It is recommended only for flights after 1 PM only, as the ships are sometimes late on returning & slow with disembarkation, etc. If OP's flight is early (i.e. closer to noon or 1 PM) - a taxi ride is recommended, special - flat rate to JFK only, about $54 + $5.74 in toll + tips, typically good for up 3 riders & luggage (unless you manage to get a taxi-van with extra capacity & find others to share the expenses) Fares from Carmel or Dial 7 are competitive and about the same as a yellow taxi - do NOT, do NOT accept offers from "strangers" claiming to work for Uber or can take you to a bypass area for a taxi or car service. Taxi lines can seem long & slow, an official dispatcher is usually on duty when ships are docked and the pace set from loading luggage & passengers, seldom more than a 5 or 10 minutes wait. As noted, NCL shuttle price of $40 is good for solo traveler not in a hurry to catch an afternoon JFK flight.
