sterling2 Posted May 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Has anyone stayed in R748-751. Can you access these cabins with a wheelchair. The passageway looks very narrow. Also are their stairs to the terrace pool? Thank you.
skynight Posted May 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Pretty sure if you exit on deck 14 you have to go up a few stairs to reach the pool.
voljeep Posted May 5, 2018 #3 Share Posted May 5, 2018 8 stairsteps and the door is heavy, with a distinct 'lip' to prevent water from running down into deck 14... be careful but, yeah - seems like we've stayed in R737 inside cabin? and used that door many times on the Ruby , Emerald, and Crown now, we just walk down to the regular stairs or use the elevator to go up to the 15 and outrigger bar... would book that location on any cruise on any of those ships... JF - retired RRT Posted May 5, 2018 #4 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Never stayed in those particular cabins, but have stayed in the insides in that area. Smallish wheelchairs will fit through the doors. From another thread..."2' W x 6'8" H". Measure your w/c. As posted above, there is a "lip" at the door that exits UP to the Terrace Pool. Eight stairsteps? Sounds about right. There's another flight of stairs (maybe about 15?) that go up to Lido deck. Not an ideal place for someone who is w/c dependent.
neverbeenhere Posted May 5, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 5, 2018 We’ve stayed in these rooms, convenient to the buffet, maybe a bit too convenient. Not convenient for a wheelchair.
sterling2 Posted May 6, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted May 6, 2018 Sorry my post wasn’t clear. Really wondering if a wheelchair would fit in the hallway getting to the aft cabins, not if it would fit through the door. Thanks for your replies. flamomo Posted May 21, 2018 #8 Share Posted May 21, 2018 I've stayed in one of the aft facing porthole cabins right by the doorway on the Riviera deck that leads out and up to the Terrace pool and loved the location. The corridors back there are the same width as the rest of them in passenger cabin areas, so there should be no problem navigating them with a wheelchair.
